This is a spoiler or whatever but the way people treat Tara is problematic as hell. And the book said she died of assisted suicide but I think it was more of a murder cause that girl was going THROUGH IT and no one helped. No one bats a lash. ALL the WOC in this series tbh... Jeez what a mess. Also that white girl in Japan trope made me laugh I will not lie.

Quick read but thoroughly enjoyed as a mythology and philosophy fan.

A quick read and super cute! I'll check out the rest of the series too.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book in terms of character archetypes. Not the typical vampire and werewolf stuff. Some of it was still predictable though lol

Her friend was A N N O Y I N G as hell. Terrible. Dreadful character that I just couldn't cheer for. The lead female character also had her annoying moments. One thing about Shelly Laurenston though, she can write her butt off!

It is as to be expected of the typical regency romance novel. Really just re-reading it to prepare myself for season two of the show.
