Reapers of the Dark Realm
Tyler Edwards continues to provide the high fantasy level incredible world building of book one in book two.
I really enjoyed reading Reapers of the Dark Realm, it was a great continuation of the series. The plot drew me in and I had to know what would happen and how it would turn out.
It is written in multiple POV which is great because we get to learn more about each character in the group from their perspective and others.
Tyler even threw a bit of romance in here and I am here for it!! We love a little bit of romance.
I loved reading about the healing and growth some of the characters had throughout the book, they desperately needed it and I love any kind of mental health rep so really enjoyed that.
Also, the reapers were super interesting and while terrifying and horrible, I loved the loose 4 horsemen twist they brought to the story.
Overall, if you are looking for a high fantasy with all manner of people and creatures, with high stakes, you should definitely give this book and the series as a whole a read!

The smut is the plot and girl I am here for it. Love a good smut plot book!
I enjoyed this story, it was steamy and I loved most of the spice! There were a few things that I didn’t vibe with but honestly I still enjoyed the book otherwise.

Blood Mosaic was a really well written and captivating read, about love, seduction, caregiving, mental health, and trauma…. All wrapped up with vampires, messed up families, high profile companies, and lust.
I enjoyed this book so much, the character development for multiple characters was so well done- the FMC and MMC development was perfection, seeing their different growth as they came together was wonderful.
I really enjoyed reading about the relationship between Tatyana and her mother. It was sad and relatable for a lot of people, and a great insight into a dynamic like that. I’d love to see more in the next book/s about that relationship, bc I think there is some growth for both parties and some healing needed.
The plot was super interesting, and the added bonus of a boss/employee romance? With the boss actively pursuing the employee? Delicious.
One of my favorite lines in the whole book was ‘Love should not feel like a trap’ - because this is 100% true, and so powerful.
I loved how the story ended and can’t wait for book 2 to see how it continues!

Blood of Two Crowns
*** 3.5 rounded up. ***
Book 2 picked up right where we left off, and kept barrelling the story forward.
I really enjoyed book 1 and was super excited to dive into book 2. I enjoyed the deeper insight and introspection we get from Nakoa, and I also loved seeing him and Malekai bond more. It was needed and I am glad they joined together to get Mariena back.
I liked the multi POV so we could learn some more of the inner workings of the characters, it was good to see their thought processes and how they were feeling.
I felt like the story was a bit chaotic, and jumped around with the flow. I think we needed a few more chapters in there or some transition information to make a flow a bit better. It was still a good read, just needed some extra editing/flow work.
The one other thing I thought was off was Ataraxus. It felt super thrown in, and while I liked the chapters with him (so steamy), I felt like it was out of left field and didn't make sense. I am sure we will get more of it in book 3, so I am excited to read it when it comes out.
I enjoyed the spice, and wished there was more but it made sense that there wasn't considering what was going on in the story.
Overall, I liked it and am looking forward to reading book 3!

Hunted in Holly is a dark twisted Christmas romance, and everything I need in the holidays.
Caroline, Queen of the South Pole, versus Nicholas, King/Immortal Saint of the North Pole, going head to head in a chase through his woods?? With the prize being either he dies or she marries him? How delicious.
The banter, tension, and hate bleeding into lust was captivating, and made me want to be the one being chased through the woods. I loved how ingenious Caroline was with her traps/hiding/escaping, and I loved Nicholas’ delight at having a small challenge while he hunted his prey/future wife. I loved the tidbit about the mistletoe towards the end! Great little twist that I wished she had figured out sooner.
I enjoyed this quick novella, I actually read it in the corner at a holiday party I was not enjoying and finished it that night before I fell asleep haha. It was so good!
I love a little twisted dark romance story, and a re-imagining of Santa as a handsome dark coded man named Nicholas is delightful for my dark loving soul.
