Overall an enjoyable read. The Austen wittiness is there, but I feel as though the characters lack depth. Mr. Robert Ferrars became my favourite character by the end solely because anytime he'd appear, I was sure to laugh at him.
The ending itself is, in my opinion, so ridiculous and so out of nowhere, I've really no words for it.

Certainly an enlightening insight into the lives of two women during differing parts of the 20th century. The art is very expressive, and gets the characters' emotions across just fine. Overall though, I thought that the "graphic" part of the graphic novel was rather underwhelming.

I deeply regret that I watched the film (2005) before reading the book. The film is such a treasure as well, but focuses chiefly on the romance – which is just as well – but the book has so much depth and fleshes the characters out so well. I much prefer book Mr. Darcy.

Very lighthearted and amusing. The characters are fun and memorable, definitely will reread. I'd personally like to see some parts shortened and others expanded on, but oh well.

Overall an enjoyable read. I like it for different reasons than I like Pride and Prejudice however – it isn't nearly as romantic and I feel as though the characters lack depth, but the Austen wittiness is there, albeit a bit subdued as well.
I was very eager to get to the ending and see my match married, but turns out I'd never been more wrong. The ending is, in my opinion, so ridiculous and so out of nowhere, I've really no words for it.
Mr. Robert Ferrars became my favourite character for making me laugh out loud with his love for cottages and his role in the ending.
