This was written with so much sincerity, maturity and honesty.

4.5 - “Reza. Isn't this magnificent? Listen to all these people. It's the sound of centuries of repression being beaten into the ground. It's the sound of change”

I will, one day, process and finally articulate all the thoughts and emotions I have for this book, and talk to a therapist, and then send the therapy bill to Fonda Lee..

A book i will reread many times

Incredibly charming!

Would have loved to read this when I was younger ❤️

3.75? Didn't really connect to this one

3.5? - Was really good at the beginning but struggled a bit throughout, the ending was disappointing.

Keel's death rocked me and made this book forever memorable. I vividly remember how numb my brain was after it happened.

Definitely would have enjoyed this more if i read it in one sitting!

The love i have for this book is special, thank you M.L. Wang.

So glad i picked this up again!!

4.5
