Perfect for Valentine's Day!! Such a cute and sweet Novella! (Note: spoiler at the bottom of this review!)
It was beautifully written and the pace was perfect! The setting of the story was beautifully described! It reminds me of my hometown!
I love the banter & the teasing between Ella & Joe, watching their relationship develop throughout the story. Joe helping Ella out at the Flower Shop and talking like as if they're making up for lost time during their high school days!
Personally, it made me think back at my high school days - being the band geek who fell in love with an athlete but we never got to talk or interacted due to being in different cliques but also different high schools.
Ahem. Anyways back to the review (this is where the spoilers might begin so be)
Can we talk about the fact that Joe started this Charity to honour his grandmother (who was the one started this tradition every Valentine's Day). Talk about a walking green flag!
I also love how Ella flower shop is across the street from her best friend's bakery! Now that's bestie goals!
10/10 would recommend!

Cute banter
If you're a huge fan of Garrett Graham, Nate Hawkins, Carter Beckett then you're going to LOVE Blake Taylor. I will confess I added him to the roaster of best hockey boyfriends (in my opinion).
This book is such a fast read but I took my time with this book so I can enjoy it! Love how short the chapters are too! The pace of the story and the plot was well done too!
If you love fake dating, hockey romance then this one is for you!
10/10 recommend this book, especially if you need something quick to read to complete your reading challenge!
Thank you so much Ellie for the ARC and giving me the opportunity to read this book! ❤️
“But you've got to decide what matters most—your business or the life you want to build.”
A cute small town love story about second chances and having to choose between money & successful career or turning a new leaf and giving love second try.
It was a fun read! Very short & sweet (no spice) romance book. Love how descriptive the story is and also love our two main characters and their development in the story.
I rated it 4 stars because I feel like it was missing something. But other than that, the book was really good and I'm going to read the other two in this series!

A fake dating, enemies to lovers trope romance that involves a pop idol and a football player! Talk about a perfect combination!
I love Riley & Jace! The character development and their romance was done beautifully. I think the best way to describe them is “don't judge a book by its cover”.
They are two main characters who thought lived a perfect life in their respective occupations only to find out that their lives weren't as perfect as it seems and the hardship it took for them to get to where they are. I definitely love how their views on each other changes throughout the story.
The writing style was amazing! I can pretty much picture where they are and what they are doing so well because of how descriptive Kate wrote it! Bonus points for short chapters and Dual POVs!

4 ⭐️ because some parts were good while other parts I felt bored and it was like something was missing! I did really like how the Sloane and Xavier character development changed and grow throughout the book! I also really like Sloane as a character and how even though she loved solving problems (perks of working in a PR firm) she was also able to tackle her own problem and problem solve her own life! It was quite inspiring tbh!
5 ⭐️ If Hunger Games had an Enemies to Lovers trope this would be it!
I read the physical book and also listened to the audiobook! I definitely recommend the audiobook because you can hear the narrators did a wonderful job! You can hear banter / teasing that happens between the two main characters! Some parts made me giggle.
Some parts of the book was a bit bland and the ending felt kind of predictable and I did see it coming. But regardless the writing and the character development was done amazing!
Actually a 4.5 ⭐️ rating! This book would've been a 5 star if there wasn't so much intimate scenes in the book. The sex content I feel like is overused and it got to the point where I had to skip through certain scenes / chapters of the book. That being said I'm taking a .5 off.
But other than that, I love the characters (like seriously all of them except Aaron) and their character development within the story. The plot is really good too! Nate Hawkin's is a walking green flag for sure!
I can't wait to read the other two books in the series!
Definitely the perfect romantasy for those who aren't a fan of abuse (like most adult romantasy books contains)! Or also the perfect starter book to get into fantasy! I love how this enemies to lovers love story was written, it was beautifully done! Started off as rivals, eventually became friends and then became lovers.
Character wise, I honestly love how the two Iris and Roman are Journalist! For someone who is studying in journalism this book really hit home for me!
Despite this being a Young Adult Romantasy I came across this book as a recommendation after reading Fourth Wing / Iron Flame & ACOTAR!
Parts of the book I skimmed through, mainly because it was a bit on the bland side but other than that, I loved it so much! I was pretty gravitated to this book because the setting is based off of a radio station and being that I'm a journalist / communication major, I wanted to give this book a try!
Perfect workplace romance & enemies to friends to lovers! Not to mention, I really like how Rachel added their radio show script in the story.
I also relate to the characters so much! More specifically Shay with the fact that I also hate my voice on air (I had to do a podcasting production class). The banter between Shay & Dominic was quite funny and cute.

Ahhhhhh oh my goodness this was the cutest thing I've ever read or more so listened because I was listening to the audiobook!
The audiobook was really well done!
The way how each chapter ended, It had me on my toes, eager to know what will happen and how the story was gonna end! Everything was written perfectly & the audiobook was narrated perfectly too! From the plot, the characters and even the sounds effects for the audiobook (Jules meowing, the sound of a text being sent off, the phone dial). I definitely relate to the FMC (Vera) a lot too as someone who likes to try everything but eventually gives up halfway through and can never focus on or stick to one thing at a time.
There wasn't any spice! It's one of those cute contemporary romance books!
The book is quite short (219 pages long, 6 hours total on audiobook) and can be finished in a day if you really wanted to!
There is also a little plot twist! I'm not the one who would release a spoiler, so all I will say is that the plot twist is during the last half of the book, and it definitely took me by surprise!
Definitely recommend this book to someone who needs something quick to read / listen to!
I'll try to make this short and sweet with a hint of spoiler free review.
This book is probably gotta be one of my new favourites. I needed a break from all the spicy romance books I normally read, and this was the perfect palate cleanser for me!
It was so beautifully written! I love how the author used both Spanish slang and also common British terminology like “mum” instead of mom for example. It definitely makes the story more diverse and unique!
I love Lila so much. I love her character development throughout the story and the relationship building between her and Orion!
The setting of the story was so descriptive that I can just picture it in my mind (England is one place that I've always wanted to visit one day).
The chapters are quite short which I like because it makes it more motivating to read and I love how for some parts of the story, the new chapter flows really well with the ending of the previous chapter!
High recommend this book to someone!!

Not gonna lie, I was a little STUMPED trying to figure out how to start this review.
Ha ha get it? Stump, because of Seth's occupation.
Anyways This short story was so good that it had me a little stumped trying to think of ways on how to write this review. But let me just say, I am at a loss for words! This so amazingly written! I finished it in a day! It definitely had me in my toes wondering what's going to happen next!
For a short story as well, the character and romance development was really well written and I loved how strong and impowering Charlotte is close to the end of the book!!
Abby, you did it again with such an amazing well written story!! I loved this one so much!
A book that taught me all about love. The magic of love. How to love. To believe in love at first sight.
Usually I can finish a book in 3 to 5 days but this one took me much longer as I took my time to read it. Also because I was learning how to love a special someone who recently became a part of my life recently. The ending of the book, made me tear up.
The characters are so relatable and very memorable to me. Lucie despite feeling lonely also believing in the magic of love. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to stand up for what she wants.
Aiden being someone(due to the past of their childhood) who fell out of love and always despised the idea of love: how to love or what it's like to be in love.
I would like to say, I have the physical book and was also listening to the audiobook too! I went back and forth between the two. Lemme just say, I loved both forms of the book so much. The writing style was amazing and I loved the audio narration! The banter between the character in the audiobook made me laugh and the radio clips in between the chapters was so clever too!
Highly recommend this book to anyone. I think it's gonna be one of my new favourites. This is my first ever B.K. Borison book, and I'm honestly so excited to find / read more books from this author!
This book hit home for me! I had a grandmother who passed away with Dementia Disease and it was honestly heartbreaking to watch her health and memory deteriorate like what Samantha's mum went through. I also honestly understood the family burn out and watching their relationship take a toll too.
This book definitely gave me some insight on what my parents as well as my dad's siblings went through when my grandmother was still alive!
There's some parts of the book where I skimmed over, but other than that the book was beautifully written! I loved it so much!
3.5 stars!
I recommend listening to the audiobook! You can finish the audiobook in a day or two. The narrator did a good job with the banter & bickering between the two main characters!
The only bad thing about this story was the fact that the female main character is 27 years old, planned to trap her parents into the same room because she didn't want her parents to divorce and would throw a tantrum at anyone who told her it was a bad idea.
& Let's not talk about the sex scenes...it was very cringeworthy to say the least

It was....a very slow start for me. The book took some time for me to get into! The start of the book is very important to me, so I was at first disappointed that after reading the first 5 chapters made me almost DNF it. But I'm glad I didn't! At first I didn't know where Ali was going with this book because everything kind of felt all out of place and didn't flow into place right.
It took me 10-15 chapters into the book to become more invested in the book, and by the final 50% of the book I flew through it. Despite the messy beginning, I did end up enjoying the book and the storyline as well as the characters and their romance development.
The spice is good! I would say a 4 out of 5 because of the audiobook (
Unlike many Romantasy series that usually contains some form of Abuse or domestic violence, I think one thing I really enjoyed from this is that there is no domestic violence or any form of abuse in this book. It was a really nice change and I wished there were more romantasy books like this one!
Very plot heavy and character driven!
When they said this was a slow burn & enemies to lovers- they weren't kidding.
This first book is a basically introduce our main girl and her love interest / enemy - I'm excited to see where their love story starts to unfold in the second book!
There are some parts where it can get pretty slow at times but 95% of the book really had me on the edge of my toes and makes me wanna keep reading to find out what happen next.
