It was fun, and I KNOW this author loves short chapters, but it felt very choppy this time around.
There was a lot of quick back and forth between POV’s to where it almost felt disconnected.
That being said. It was a low angst and light hearted boss/employee age gap in the mountains romance. Cutesy and fun
I found it odd the FMC has zero friends ???
This took me soooo long to get through. Not because of how long it is but I feel like it didn’t hold my attention until like 65% of the way through.
I feel like I wanted to like this more, because previous Tal books for me have been an easy 5 stars. This one just didn’t hit it for me!
The insta love was VERY insta, I loved Brennan and thought the was sweet, he and Reese had their cute moments. The pacing of it, or maybe the back and forth timelines just didn’t do it for me.
As far as surprise pregnancies go, this one was adorable.
Tanner was down bad and a total simp over Millie. He was a total puppy over her and I loved him.
Their families were a LOT but I am so glad they both got the HEA.
I really really love the New York Lion’s universe and I’ll be sad to see it go. 🩷
3.5!
I love KM as an omegaverse author, I loved the male omega and female alpha concept, butttttt this was blah
It had good elements but it was almost too long or maybe I didn’t care about the conflict enough?
After about 75% I found myself forcing to keep going
The pack moments were excellent, I just don’t think I cared about Omnikron or the bad guys
Super super interesting concept!!
How they didn’t recognize or piece together it was them so many times….
And how were they thinking about sex in a tunnel in a life or death situation?!
Besides that… super angsty and heart wrenching. The letters and time jumps were heart breaking.
Actually love this series so so much 💖
Influenced to read this by Kate on TikTok - SO HAPPY.
This was so perfect - I loved the rivals to lovers, it was done super super well.
It was fun, the sneaking around and figuring out what they both liked. The bit of kink added to the spice perfectly.
Colton was SO fun to read about. He was scared and hesitant, but not ashamed of his newfound bi-discovery. It didn’t compute but he kept trying. And when he ran away, put up his walls, he always came back to Noah.
Noah is possessive AF in a very good way, and being attracted to Colton barely phased him. I like how dominant he was and pushed Colton but never past the limit.
I liked how sweet they were once together, and how they still were competitive but in a healthy normal fun way with their jobs.
“I hate you” really meant “I love you”

Absolutely loved this.
After meeting Gray in the first book with Victor, so so happy he gets his HEA.
Age gap, and total opposites, Gray and Jonah make the perfect family. Jonah was very scatter brained at times, and would blab a lot when he felt uncomfortable or awkward, he was charming and breathed life and excitement into Gray’s world of plans and spreadsheets.
Their sexy first encounter on a flight, to city boy gray moving to middle of nowhere cornfield town to be with Jonah. Love that development for him.
Gray loved Jonah so quietly and beautifully. How he figured out Jonah was dyslexic, and accommodating his stump in small subtle ways that didn’t demean or diminish, just quietly support. He knows he’s still capable but he’s able to just be leaned on.
The pining in this!
A wonderful example of second chances, yearning, and grovelling.
Felix and Max started as casual hookup, and grew to FWB. Both agree to casual and no more.
It became more, but neither wanted to acknowledge or admit it. Felix was brave and eventually asked for more, knowing that Max was in love with someone else.
The heart break I felt after Felix left Max, standing up for himself….
Max is charming and earnest. He is loyal to a fault sometimes, but with Felix’s quick whit and attitude, they compliment each other so well.
Oh I loved this!!!!! It was adorable, and beautiful.
I really felt the pain and heartache that Ethan felt.
I loved how he was so brave, going on a honeymoon by himself while being hard of hearing. I thought the disability was represented really well.
And his tour guide, Clay, was so cute and patient with him. Insta friends, turned into lovers.
I chose this, despite having a severe ick towards books with “pucking” in the title, because I read The Wrong Quarterback and really enjoyed it. It’s a spin off of this series, so it made sense to get into this one.
All the regrets!
I don’t know why the high rating, because while yes this is “dark and morally grey anti-hero” it was not good.
I didn’t like the FMC, she was annoying and I didn’t think she had any backbone to stand up for herself in any aspect. Yes she had a tragic childhood but overall I just felt she lacked.
The MMC Lincoln, yes was unhinged but so delusional.
His family/home life was wild and inexcusable, but I did not find any redeeming quality for me to root for him.
I’m all for stalker/dark/obsessive but there was no reason other than she was pretty. I don’t know if it was the writing style or this specific story, but it missed the mark for me.
Words cannot express how much I love this book, and the series as a whole.
Rio’s story was long awaited. (Part of me low key secretly hoped it would be an mm-bi awakening but I’m in no way disappointed in how it ended)
He was always thought to be the flirty and thirsty playboy, but that is far from the truth.
I loved the second chance, childhood friends to enemies to lovers. I loved they turned out to be neighbours twice.
He bought her dream house for her, when they weren’t even speaking.
Even when he was angry at her and haven’t spoken in years he was still down bad and comparing every date to Hallie.
It was perfect, how neither wanted to hold the grudge, they easily wanted to just fall back into old times because it’s familiar and easy. I think rio and Hallie were really meant to be.
Loved this! Def my fav in the series. Saved the best for last.
I loved the enemies/rivals to lovers, FWB, secret hookup, all the tropes.
I liked how Patrick was stand offish but was a secret sweetie soft hearted guy, who just needed someone to see him and support him.
When Tucker did the lights for him!!!!! Swoon.
I loved this!!!
The final (youngest) Holland brother, and single mom.
I loved their dynamic, and the sort of slow burn aspects.
Flynn was charming AF, flirty and fun, but respected Olivia’s space when she turned him down for dates. He didn’t overstep the “no” boundary but merely kept showing up and being there for her.
(Speaking as someone who does not have kids and isn’t around many) I felt like the description of little Greer was realistic. She was sweet yes, but also had normal meltdowns and felt the big feelings. She wasn’t a perfect angel as some kiddos were written as.
