A lovely book to savour. Whether you're 12 or 25, this book never gets old. A nice book to put you in a cheerful mood anytime.
If you are going to read only one non-fiction / productivity / self help book this year, choose this. Extremely well researched and written. Full of interesting diagrams that help you digest the information better. The ideas in this book are in a class of their own, in a crowded marketplace. Super highly recommended!
Slightly underwhelming after the high quality content in the previous books. Continues on the same basic story of Kiyosaki and his two dads. Few nuggets off wisdom which are a little tough to find. The company formation part of the book is somewhat outdated and not relevant for Indian readers.
Evergreen classic with good advice on money matters. Examples are dated given the time in which the book was published, but the words are absolutely evergreen even today.
What an amazing book. Had heard so much about it, and finally got around to reading it. Love how each character is explored so deeply. My biggest take away is that we need to go through life with more gratitude, appreciate people around us a little more, and just slow down a little bit.
A highly significant book in the self help domain. A beautifully woven story takes you through valuable lessons for a lifetime.
Make sure to note down the Talismans somewhere, and track their application in your life. Making them a part of your daily life is absolutely key to getting value out of reading this book.
An incredible autobiography of the legendary Sam Walton. Must read for all people starting their careers. Excellent advise on selling, speaking and management. Gives a perspective on the lessons Mr. Walton learned from his journey to the top. Heartwarming stories and anecdotes, peppered with quotes by Walmart associates, employees and even competitors make this worth reading for anyone interested in management, leadership and customer service.
Read this one for the second time. So many insights that I missed last time. An evergreen book.
A colourful primer to the world of real estate, and what goes on behind the scenes. Interesting insights on how politics must be handled deftly, in order to make it big in real estate. A breezy read overall, reminded me of the importance of work ethic, discipline and simply showing up!
A fascinating exploration of the innumerable parallels between cutting edge physics and Eastern philosophies. The book tends to become too technical and somewhat boring for the non-scientist reader at times, but the explanations following such technical content is beautiful. The book introduces you to many concepts in the Tao, Buddhism, Jainism, and Hinduism. The overarching summary of the book is ‘entanglement' or ‘interconnectedness'. Every single iota of creation is energy, not a discrete object by itself. You are affected by others actions, and you affect the actions of others. So, choose your thoughts and the people around you wisely, they will influence your future.
Fantastic book from a true star I came across on Parks and Recreation. Amazing quotes on personal growth and detailed anecdotes makes this a rich and full read.
Quite an exciting and lively book, atleast in the initial and middle parts. Hilarious at times. Becomes a little predictable and slow towards the end, but a superb story worth reading atleast once in your lifetime. Some great quotes on leadership and dealing with difficult circumstances.
