This book is good and worth reading. I enjoyed it but it felt a little lacking. I may recommend it to a certain audience. It gave me mixed feelings, possibly with potential it didn't quite live up to. It's a good experience, not amazing, but not bad.

I really like this book . It's a very enjoyable story, but just short of epic. Certain areas may not be as fulfilling as they could have been. I'm not quite as captivated or blown away, but still had a great experience. I'd recommend this book to others and continue reading from this author. I would probably re-read it.
How well do you know the person you married?
My mom used to read Mary Higgins Clark books all the time when I was growing up and now I know why!
For me it was a slow burn but was worth the build up. I could not put this book down. It had me captivated from start to finish. The characters were wonderful and the story was well written.
I can't wait to read more of her novels!

That was how long it took me to realize this book was trying way too hard and was just not going to be enjoyable.
That's also how long it took me to realize that Lowen is insufferable.
It is also possible that it was just very overhyped.

Not a book for me and not one I would recommend. It didn't hold my interest, and probably felt more of a chore to get through. Not completely terrible, but I didn't have a good experience. This book was an enjoyable read, but there are several things I wish were done differently.

If I had to give an average rating of the overall book (at least the part that I read), it would be two stars. While I enjoyed some of the tales, they were just way too dry for my taste. Some were too short and left me wanting more detail. They ended abruptly, and I had to go back and make sure I didn't miss some pages before starting the next story in the series.
I do think the stories were grouped nicely. But I just couldn't force myself to go on. Reading this nearly put me in a coma.
I'm glad I only spent 99 cents on this book.

A book that I loved, an absolute must read, and now a favorite of mine. It's a book that will live on my shelves forever and I would re-read in the future. I would pick up anything else by this author without question. This book is now one of my all-time favorites.

DID NOT FINISH — I will not rate a book that I shelf as “did not finish.” I don't believe it's fair to put a rating on books I didn't read from beginning to end.

I just didn't like this book, at all. Most likely I DNF'd it (did not finish). I would not recommend it to anyone and it is poorly written and definitely not for me. This book was just awful.

3 Stars= It was an enjoyable read
This has been promoted as a horror book and is supposed to be one. While I never got scared while reading this, I did get creeped out a few times.
For as long as I can remember, instead of screaming when I get scared or creeped out for some reason, I yell “EWW”! (mostly when watching movies) Which I found myself saying a couple of times while reading this story.
The story started off strong and was so good. It kept me very engaged at first but lost steam a little over halfway through. It began to seem a bit far-fetched and rushed. The ending left me feeling unsatisfied. I believe if the book were roughly 200 pages shorter, it would have been perfect.
I also found it very weird that the author named the main character in the story after himself. Was that just me?
What was up with the whole Fay telling the hollow man that enough was enough and him just being like "Oh, okay, sorry, I'll leave lol. Byyyeee?" After all they went through there is no way it was that easy to rid themselves of the evil entity.
All in all, this was a fun read and is worth checking out.

This book blew me away! I thought I had it all figured out but I never did. It started out confusing but after the end of part one it started to make sense. The twists and turns are fantastic. This is one of my new favorites.
Check out this book! You won't regret it!

This was my first Tess Gerritsen book. I had heard good things about her, especially about her Rizzoli and Isles characters.
While I enjoyed this story I feel like it didn't get really good until the last few chapters. It would suck me in for a little before losing me for a while before sucking me back in again.
I think Gerritsen did an amazing job of explaining how Jane Rizzoli felt being the only woman in a male dominated field. She also did very well explaining how Rizzoli felt “unattractive” compared to other women and hit on some insecurities that many of us have.
I'm looking forward to reading more of her books in the future.

These brave women's story is a powerful one. It is a story that definitely needs to be shared. This book took me through a range of emotions. From happiness to disgust. This is a story worth knowing about and these women deserve to be remembered.
With that being said I found the author's writing style to be a bit dry. Not enough so that it took away from the severity of the story but just enough that at times it made important things seem bland.
However, it was very informative.

This was a long read for me. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it was beautifully written but at times it felt slow moving.
A tale about a man who is confined to one area. He watches the world go on and change around him while not being able to be apart of it. But he makes the best of the cards he's been dealt.
The characters are wonderfully written and really help bring the story to life.

This was the first Ruth Ware book I've read and I wasn't thrilled with it. It was one of those books that I didn't love but didn't hate. I just...liked if. It was an enjoyable enough read but I felt the real “WOW” moment never came and the ending was a bit rushed. If it's in your TBR pile by all means read it. Just don't expect too much.
