Wow it took me more than 3 months to finish this one. Nothing really happens in this book. It felt somewhat boring but the writing is masterful.

Update: After i read A Little Hatred, this should be reduced from 6 to 5. Still 3 stars, though.

This is a beautiful book. Especially considering that it was published shortly before his unexpected death.

Not bad for a debut novel but I can see why Stephenson disowned this book and tried to remove it from printing.
Some of the Stephenson's signature style peeks through but overall it's pretty underwhelming in every aspect. Definitely do not recommend this one as an intro to his work.
