Mx. Sally Bend gives us an erotic filled story in Transformed by the Beast. I gotta say that I just loved it. The synopsis tells you everything you need to know. Bend just fleshes it all out with true love and some really steamy scenes. I love these types of stories and just gobble them up like candy and can reread them, bookmark my favorite passages, and return to them again and again. Bend has made it very easy because there are lots of hot moments to bookmark. I love the emotional submission. I love the steam. There just isn't really anything I don't love about Transformed by the Beast.

Christina Bauer still can pull some surprises out of her sleeve and it is a doozy. Holy sugar.
Bauer manages to blend really cute and funny family moments with heavy drama, battle, and snark. I think this is what I love best about this series. The fact that I got so excited that Myla and I both drink the same beverage for the reason was a normal connection except for the whole I'm not a Queen or a demon thing she has going for her. I simply adore her connection with Lincoln and how he respects Myla's battle strategies. I just love when they fight together.

When you read a Mary Eicher book you get so much more than “just” a science fiction book or just a book with mythology in it. Revelations covers so much territory; I hope I do it justice. First let me say, I loved this book, and it is due to it hitting so many different levels of story writing.
Luckily for you Revelations can be read as a standalone, but I really recommend reading the first two books in the series as that will flesh out this story and bring out all of its nuances.

Hang the Moon reminds of all of the great rom-coms while creating its own. Brendon and Annie are worth your time. Bellefleur gives us a romance that will want you to look to moon for your own chance at love.
I got this book from my library. I love my local library and you should check out yours too. Request LGBTQ+ books and they will stock them! #ebooksforall

The Moon Resides In Her Heart reads like a short story. Isabel Scheck's haikus read like love-notes and thoughts written on a post-it, or to reflect today posted on Twitter. Impactful. At times so romantic and others are painful to read. The ebb and flow of a flow relationship and we stand by as a witness.

The Map To You is a clean and sweet romance. There is angst, but what romance doesn't have some drama? There is a road trip. There is family drama. Romance is also included and some really deep soulful kisses. Rachel Stockbridge gives us a college romance that makes me want to grab some popcorn and re-read some of my favorite scenes.

The Brutal Time is a trip...seriously we went on a road trip. Mind boggling.
One thing you can always depend on in an Angelbound: Origins book: Myla being sarcastic and kick-ass. Battle sequences. This time add in an adorable Captain Fluff and a trip back in time. I loved it.

Real Easy is a tapestry of police procedural, the harsh realities of life, and the struggles to move on beyond it. Rutkoski doesn't provide easy solutions because there aren't any. Real Easy is a crime that you can't take your eyes off of and you don't want to.

I love these mysteries because Rose admits to taking stories right from the headlines and putting her own twist on them. The sad part is that she is not too far off in how this story plays out. The mystery is good. I did not see the twist coming. Nor did I see the killer which I always like - I want to be as surprised as Eva Rae is.

Angela Davis writes her biography like a fiction book. You feel as if you are right there with the FBI on your tail. Your heart is pounding. Fear and paranoia is moving through your body, much like it did hers as she was traveling the halls of the hotel. When the hand finally clasps her wrist, you feel the imprint around yours's. This is the styling of Davis. Her story reads as a fiction novel and not a stale retelling of the facts of someone's life. When her heart pounds, so does yours's.

I really enjoyed In Vineyard Veritas. I am already trying to figure out how this can be a series because I love the secondary characters as much as Gerry. I want to see how some flirtations work out...look at me getting ahead of myself.

Skye MacKinnon and Laura Greenwood surprised me with this one. Above the Waves had a twist that I should have seen, but I did not. I don't want to give anything away, but I was kind of in the right direction in my last review.
Macey battles inner and outer demons this time again in Above the Waves. Decisions are being made. Lines are being drawn. Changes are happening. I'm loving every minute of it and I can't wait to read what is going to happen next.

Imagine one day just going along in your life and aliens suddenly drop down and explode a glitter bomb all over you. You are not washing that stuff out for days. Yeah, that's what happens to the unsuspecting heroes. Now they are unprepared to go out and rescue the world and each other. I am picturing this one scene from the book and it is just like “Oi vey someone is going to get killed. Oops.” (chuckle)

I love Acca. Luckily for me this is not the end of the story, but if it had been, this would have made a great ending. If you have never read a book in the series, this is the book to read. Bauer does an excellent job of recapping seamlessly while in the midst of an action sequence. There is heat, battle, and true love. Nothing better.

What I absolutely adore about this volume in the Best Lesbian Erotica series is the diversity. I love reading all of the voices and different scenarios. There are so many great voices here that I cannot comment on all of them. I wrote about the ones that I can personally relate to at this moment in my life. Next year, other stories might come to the forefront. There is something for everyone in this book. If these stories didn't resonate, don't worry another one will. Sinclair Sexsmith has compiled a panty-wetting, heart swelling, and I need to get me a person volume of erotica that you will keep by your bedside.

Silver Moon is a slow-burn clean and sweet romance. There are no u-hauls in sight (laugh). Sometimes the wait can be delicious and Lundoff makes the waiting kind of hot. I love Becca and Erin together. They are definitely “hubba hubba”.

“The True Size of Africa” illustration shows the impact of their history on the world. It is amazing to me that a continent that is so large can be smothered by others who are much smaller. Tracy Baptiste tells us the history and some of the stories of early Africa and I find it fascinating. Matched with the illustrations by Wilson and the connection is complete.

Shelby Criswell introduces us to a mix of rainbow people through words and comic strip designs.
At first I was getting thrown off by the layout so I went back and read through the comic strip portion, then I read through the straight text. I enjoyed the book when I read it this way versus trying to read the text and the comic portion together. It could have just been how it converted to my kindle, so I would just see what works for you.

Lizzie Lawson comes up with an awful and realistic premise for The Winter of Summer. I cannot even imagine what I would do in Tricia's situation.
Tricia is a victim of circumstance and her own caretaking nature. The problem with this is sometimes you let yourself be used because you need something in return. Tricia got more than she bargained for when saying “yes” to favors from people who once cared about her and didn't even know her. Lawson's story is a warning to every caretaking person out there. (I, for one, am taking heed.)
Tricia and her bodyguard, Summer, are amazing together. They end up having to face haters, rage, despair, and ignorance. Summer is exactly the type of woman Tricia needs with her positive energy. She just might not be the cop she needs her to be as you will read (smh).
Lawson creates an incredible family for Tricia that I want more of. Kendra is an amazing sister and source of support for Tricia. I want her love story no matter who she falls for. I actually want to see everyone again, maybe Lawson can write a holiday story about them. No pressure (laugh).
The Winter of Summer is at once heavy and light, the lightness coming from Summer. Lawson strikes the right balance between two warring emotions: trauma and falling in love. I thoroughly enjoyed The Winter of Summer.

I really enjoyed this short story from Hayes. I feel she hit all of the notes of what an athlete and their family go through when competing on an Olympic level. (I am an expert after all I watched the Lifetime Olympic series - laugh). Out for Gold is a trip worth taking.

I cannot recommend Walls enough. Elliott gives us a realistic glimpse into military family life, political terror, different points of view for commentary, and a slice of history. Walls is easy to read and highly recommend it for young adults and schools to add to their reading lists. Heck, even I learned things reading this (not that I am a know-it-all (laugh)). Read Walls.

Within The Flames is an intriguing story from Skye MacKinnon and Laura Greenwood. Once again Macey is battling self-doubt, but this time not the demon but herself.
Self-doubt seems to be an overall theme of the Seven Wardens series. This is a typical emotion to have at 18-years-old. Macey is involved in a very complicated relationship with four...or is it five now? I'm trying to count on my fingers. Anyhoo, they are much older than her with a lot of different experiences. Two of the men are so old they cannot even remember their parents or childhood memories.

What made me interested in reading this debut novel from Katy Pierce was a mystery starring a female veteran dealing with PTSD issues. Now I have some issues, but Grecco handles them much differently than I do and that is where Soldiers For Hire comes in. Grecco has multiple identities in her life and by compartmentalizing is how she survives. When she makes a decision to track down a serial rapist, she unknowingly starts knocking down the walls that separates her identities. This is not a bad thing, but it can be a very hard experience.
