Refusing Compulsory Sexuality is the critical read to Ace and Aro Journeys. It just happened for me that I had both of these books and chose to read them back to back. Journeys is an introduction to the world of asexuality and aromanticism. Whereas, Refusing is what you need to read to truly understand an asexual person's reality.

I love to learn and Ace and Aro illuminated this spectrum for me. It allowed me to hear from voices that I don't normally hear from. I want to thank the authors for taking the time to gather these questionnaires and share the information with us. I would also like to thank the people who stepped forward to share their thoughts and feelings on what is a deeply personal matter. Thank you. I have learned so much from you. Thank you again.

A Chaperoned Christmas is a sweet romance. It just happens to occur between two couples where one of the parties is the same person. I can respect and identify with the decisions that Candida has made to survive in 1879 as a woman. The reasons for her breaking off her relationship with Broderick are good ones. The reason why they shouldn't get back together is a good one. The issue is the fact that they both love one another and exist in each other's orbits.
Then we have the new love interest, at least on Candida's part, Sophie. An old friend who Candida starts to see in a different light. Whereas Sophie has always loved Candida. Watching as the flower blooms in this romance is truly delightful.
You don't have to have read any of the other books in the series to read A Chaperoned Christmas. It is a standalone and of course ends with happily-ever-after. This holiday romance is a clean sweet romance filled with family laughter.

I have to say that Harper's escape was a little anticlimactic after reading the title and the synopsis. Harper's escape is actually fairly easy and quick. The story focuses on what comes after the escape.
Laura Greenwood has something with the Supernatural Retrieval Agency so I am surprised that this is the final book in the series. I love the group together and the coupling of Harper and Elias does not change the dynamic.
I do wish the story was longer as I wanted more action with the villain and the “henchmen”. I think this series can do so much more. I really like the characters and that is the magic of Greenwood. I will keep coming back for more because Greenwood always creates worlds and characters that you want to read more of.

I think Ambrielle is my favorite heroine yet from the “Torpedo Ink” series. Christine Feehan has created a woman who is smart, strong, and even when the chips are down will still come out fighting. Early on in the book there is a scene with her parents that is just heartbreaking and yet at the same time you can see where she gets her chutzpah from.
I think Master and Ambrielle are my favorite couple of the series. I may say this for every book, I'm not sure I will have to go back and check, but I stand by Master and Ambrielle. I love their evolution of love. Feehan does an outstanding job of not rushing this relationship yet giving us what we need as readers.
Recovery Road might be my favorite book out of the “Torpedo Ink” series. Each book has gotten better in the series and this one is the best...so far.

Scott gives us multiple viewpoints, including The Reaper's. The premise is a solid one and believable. I think readers might end up rooting for the Reaper when they hear the background on some of the “victims”.
The dynamic between Mel and Nat is great. Scott has a diverse cast from race to rainbow. I can understand why there isn't any neurodiverse or disabled people as cops are not usually in these categories and there is a fine line when killing people off in books.
The Reaper should be made into a movie...it is that...twisted. If I say anything more I will have to add all kinds of spoilers. Love you Scott you made my Fright Night!

T.B. Markinson and Miranda MacLeod bring grumpy versus sunshine to a small town with this clean holiday romance. There is humor, strife, and lots of cooking. I loved learning about German traditions as Celeste's family is from Germany.
Christmas at Rainbow Falls is fun and sweet. Markinson and MacLeod light up the town and the holidays with this quick and easy read for the holidays.

After the hype of the first book, I thought I must have missed something with the first book so I figured let's read the second book. I just didn't like the story. I have to assume it is the whole premise.
Cat Sebastian has great representation in this story with bisexuality and a positive representation of sex workers. I like the showcasing of the difficulties for women in history in trying to survive without a man. I think these issues are such an important part of history and how it impacts today.
I felt disconnected overall from the story. I received a free copy of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily. I am sorry to say that I did not connect with the characters in this book. You might, so please do not take my opinion as anything other than a reader who did not make a connection.
Hell Followed With Us is a futuristic dystopian religious fanatic driven world where no one but the righteous is allowed to live. Andrew Joseph White takes us into a very dark place where judgment is found everywhere even within the walls of safety.
Hell Followed With Us is dark, broody, and action-packed. It's a horror tale set in the future which reflects today. It's the perfect addition to our Fright Night line up.

Christina Bauer's trip back in time lets us see Myla before Lincoln and Myla has not changed much over time. Sass. Strength. Loyalty. Myla is a great role model for anyone. Lady Reaper showcases a great introduction to the Reapers, a new mystery, and the bond of friendship.
I am looking forward to Reaper Games continuing this story. I know how it all turns out, but Bauer makes the ride so much fun. Plus, Myla kicking butt is always a good time. Get your fix of Myla, Lincoln, Cissy, and Walker with Lady Reaper. It's a fun quick read.

Gavez gives us a slow-burn, and in their own words, “fluffy” romance. It is filled with tradition, family, and mutual respect. I hungered for more of Angie's customs as I know nothing about Columbian traditions. I love that Morgan's family is so willing to change things up to make Angie feel at home and welcome.
This Is The Season To Make You Mine is my kickoff to the holiday season and I couldn't have picked a sweeter romance. Morgan and Angie are cute. I even got a kick out of Erin and Kay. I was even rooting for Brooklyn and Mackenzy. Morgan's family is a hoot. Everything about this story is packaged just right for the holidays.

I love this romance. Mia Kerick has everything from family drama, cuteness, angst, and heat. Tristan's family seals the deal for me in I'm Not In Love. It is his family that brings forth Remi's soul - never mind the foundation it allows him to build with Tristan. I read this in one sitting, it is so good.
This is not a Faux Pas - cute romance
Paige is a unique character and I like her.
Lily Seabrooke has created a complicated mess to position Paige where she is needed. Then makes the most of it in the most delightful ways. I like the town and its people. They are just as important to Paige's story as she is. Seabrooke creates a memorable and unique addition to the Sapphic Pride Collection.
A historical romance with a hot and strong Alpha is the only historical I want to read if it stars a She-Alpha by Lexa Luthor. The back story for Aubrey is heartbreaking. The heat between Aubrey and Kinsey is combustible.
I was surprised by the number of grammatical, editing, and spelling errors. It doesn't detract overall, but you will have to hit pause and reread a paragraph or two.
Overall, this is a story of triumph and love and I was all in.
Got to love when two butches get together and it is hot.
It is kind of funny to romance each other over shabbat candles, but Rox Alexander makes it work. There is steam, kink, and some heart-to-heart conversation. I think this is one of the reasons why I like Alexander so much, her romances always have heart even when they are short stories.

Yerba Buena is not a love story for our time. It is a fantastic story of two different womens journeys that intersect and not so much in a good way according to the ending written by Nina LaCour.
LaCour gives us women who become worthy of themselves. I love their individual journeys. Yerba Buena is totally worth the read just for the fiction itself. This story, their stories, is worth the read.

Hard Drive is sugar-coated sweetness with a huge drop of jealous stalker.
Shae Connor gives us a loner who focuses on school and work while ogling her crush in her spare time. Imagine when said crush comes to your dorm room with a computer emergency that your brother says only you can fix for her. Yeah...no problem. Gratitude abounds and Annie is beyond happy.
I like Annie and Eve. I think their romance is really sweet. I was rooting for them. Connor definitely knocked this romance right out of the park.

I really liked Maybe Charlotte. Charlotte is a great character and mix her with her brother and holy sugar the drama gets funny and intense. The premise is great. I love the hit and miss between Charlotte and Lily, the dance is part of the charm of the book.
There is humor, cuteness, and of course romance in Maybe Charlotte. I needed an escape from this world much as Charlie needed one from her's in Maine and McBain provided me with a great one in Maybe Charlotte.

Wow. Intense. Geonn Cannon gives us a great mystery to kick off the Underdogs series.
Cannon gives us a good old-fashioned action mystery that just happens to have a paranormal slant to it. Ari gives Jessica Jones (Created by Melissa Rosenburg, 2015) a run for her money and then some...well because she is a lesbian of course.
