Ok. This was way better than God of Magic
May be I am biased because I love urban fantasy in general. But this is damn good. The characters are cool. Story flowed in a very good way. And it set up a nice starting for a long series!
Epic! Just freaking epic!
What a sense of Joy I have felt reading this book.
By far this series has become my most favourite Light Novel ever even surpassing Goblin Slayer!
“Obey me you wrenches, as you are in the presense of Diablo the True Demon Lord From Another World”
Heck Yeah!
Aww man, this series is super awesome and quality of the story & characters are better & better as the series is progressing, generally, I get bored after 5-6 books and take a break to read the later books. But this series making me read, sometimes without sleep.
It's that good!
Unique concept & good start to the series.
Little harder to get into in the early chapters but improved a lot in the latter.
The concept of creating your own self is designed perticularly well. All the other characters have depth to them. Even though, illandre was the least brave character I loved every scene with her.
Logan Jacobs started some of the promising series this year, I hope he continues the same quality as all of the books progress forward!
I agree with another review here, wanting and deserving are the two complete different things.
I feel frustrated when MC cannot do anything, I hope it improves in future volumes
Yes, finally MC is useful & successful in doing some awesome things.
I love REM more than Emilia. Period!
The only complaint I have is it doesn't progress too much, which is also a good thing, considering the endless possibilities.
Logan Jacobs has a very bright future as an author. These stories are entertaining, truthful and emotional as well.
Narration by Justin Thomas James, Annie Ellicott, Laurie Catherine, Jeff Hayes what else you need, sound booth theatre is becoming my favorite for so many awesome audiobooks.
Nice premise
It's a unique and well-built world. There are two different types of magic users one is a Mage & Another is Aura master. And the MC has the affinity for both because of a small accident.
This was a well-developed start to the series. I loved devourer and other tamed Mana beings, especially Derick. Who doesn't love cute foxes!
I will wait eagerly for the next one!
First half of the book was kind of meh! But the second part turned out to be interesting. It has the potential to become awesome if author flesh out MC more to be not childish. The book ended with a cliffhanger, so I will pickup the next one!
Very good concept but need improvements
The concept of book is very cool. But I felt this very light hearted and defeating gods easily also not sit with me well. And that need to be improved. This can be more intense and interesting if developed perfect.
3.5 stars
It's a good start of a series and have potential.
Sometimes it feels silly but it has depth. Will definitely read the second one. Also, This has some parallel to Irredeemable character which I liked.
Absolutely amazing world creation
4.5 stars
The world author created for this series is too amazing. And I loved the the character arc of Yar. Seriously, first I felt he may become overpowered, but then author introduced shadows and to defeat them, Yar has to train for almost 7-15 years. Loved all the new characters especially the cubs. The only problem is sometimes translation is confusing, like what character had said which sentence. And the translator used some hard words. Hopefully the third book will be out soon.
Cool short story on five widows
Steven killed one of the dragonsoul prime and inherited his five wives. Though, Steven is unlike others and takes time to get to know each other. This short story seriously makes you think how awesome it will be if two genders work together instead of fighting for silly things
A nice continuation but expected more growth of MC
The book has all the good elements to read a good guild fantasy story. And the characters are cool. The new characters and back stories are also good. One little disappointment for me is I expected MC to become more awesome, but I get the point taking it slowly.
A very good start of the series.
This is my first book of the author and Thanks to my dear friend Lori's good words I picked this up. I'd say I'm not disappointed in the least but I felt it could have been better. Hope it improves along the way!
This one is a good read. Kind of new to me, the hero being overly cautious and little selfish sometimes, but he shows emotions different way which I liked. The humour in the middle is belly-tickling though!
The starting of the book is little irritating to say the least but it is understandable because the MC is sixteen.
The real world author created is scary to thought of. But I'm seeing that future, I hope it doesn't comes to that.
As per the greatest elements of the book is the class occultist itself. The unique abilities of the class are like a summoner but with more powerful. I hope it will be more awesome in the next book (if author decides to write, I have no Idea).
But the four star reason for the book is because of the narrator Adam sins. His narration was top notch and pleasant to listen. If he was supported by a female narrator it would have been a 5 star audiobook.
This is one of the funniest books I have ever read. I loved “the Old time gamer is still gonna be awesome” concept so much. I hope the second book will be like this.
And the 5 stars for Narration because both of the male and female narrators were terrific. I just enjoyed the time I spent listening to their voices.
An idiot and foolish whining MC made this book from awesome to above Average
Seriously, EAN is an idiot. If I'm zin, I would have kicked him and took out all his fingers for the sheer stupidity of him. Seriously how can a 18 year old boy who thinks and ask everyone to call him a man behaves like a freaking idiotic child. Thankfully there is some nice story and other characters made this reading worth the time. But I will not directly jump into it of I were you. If you are interested in summoning demons then you can pick this up, as it is the reason I picked it up.
3.5 stars.
Narrator is good. Everything else is above average! Will read the next ofcourse to know what happened next!
rant is coming!
It's baffling to me that people actually related to the shit MC.
You have a secret, if know turns every person is the world against you!
What you do? You drink until you are so vulnerable people can actually know your secret and kill you.
You trust people so easily and do shit all the time and someone else has to save you. Are you freaking kidding me?
This MC is the most shittiest character I have ever read. He whines every time and expects everyone to accept him and his authority and superiority. Bullshit!
Throughout the book, MC does nothing, his companions do everything and save him like infinity times, how can a person will be so stupid?
The 2 stars for the companions and if I can give rating to MC it will be -5000.
This series is keep suprising me.
It was neat and not over the top and I kinda liked the boldness of MC. It's exhilarating to read his growth through out the book!
