I love the book, probably because the method described works, unlike so many mumbo jumbo diets that I have read. Maybe she is wrong in some regards, maybe the perfect diet can be different, maybe it doesn't work for everyone, what I found out is that it does work. Even if you are too busy in the beginning to exercise, like you are supposed to. Even if you need to cook WAY more than before.
But it helps, I lost 10kg on this diet. Well actually I went down 14kg the first time, but then I went back to eating junk food and drinking plastic stuff and alcohol, so I went back up 7kg, but as I started feeling bad, I went back on the diet and went back down. Then life interrupted so I stopped, but this time I limit my exposure to junk and I gained 3kg so far (couple of months), I doesn't mean I don't eat sweet stuff or ice cream or drink alcohol. I just do it in moderation and I remember to eat healthy or at least healthier stuff.
All I can say to the author, is thank you.
This book will stay on my shelf for the foreseeable future, I plan on going back on this diet at some point, because I am far from my ideal weight, but a year ago I didn't think losing weight was possible for me. Now I think it's just a matter of time until I am at my goal weight.
I like Tim and the way he thinks and writes. Many great quotes, fabulous insights and great recipes. It's a multi-dimensional book, you can read it as just a cook book, a meta-learning book or a guide to life. So many great things inside. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to better themselves, especially if you want to get better at getting better itself.
