I enjoyed Sally Rooney's writing in this novel a lot more than in her other books but the story and the characters were not for me. I found them unlikeable most of the time and all the things they talked about and how they talked about them really didn't do it for me. There were some parts that I really loved, so it's quite unfortunate..
This volume was hilarious!! I always love the extra missions at the end of the manga, although they confuse me a bit because it's the last thing I remember and when I start the next one, I think it's starts with what happened last in that extra mission.

This volume is a bit too reminiscent of and has a lot of allusions to WWII/Germany before and during that time.. I don't know how I feel about this.. But I do love the story and the characters so I can ignore it.
Darcie Little Badger draws on traditional Lipan Apache storytelling structure in this book, which follows the life of Nina, a Lipan Apache teenager, and Oli, a cottonmouth snake that has the ability to shapeshift. The book follows the two characters as they try to find their place in the world. It is slow-paced, and you might need a lot of patience to read this book, but it is worth it to take the time to enjoy the beauty of the narrative and the lovely characters as they are learning to navigate the world they inhabit.
The author does an excellent job of creating well-developed characters, and the relationships between them are beautifully portrayed. The friendships and family relationships are particularly endearing, and the animal side characters add a delightful charm to the story.
It should be noted that this book is YA and I haven't been enjoying YA for a couple of years now, so if you're like me, this book might not be for you. But I would still recommend everyone to at least give this book a try, as it manages to be both entertaining and thought-provoking.
This being a memoir and quite a personal book I'm not sure what to comment on. I enjoyed reading this and getting to know about her relationship with her mother. It made me think about my relationship with my mother and explore and think about some aspects I haven't thought about or considered before.
This books was well outside of my comfort zone and I am so glad I gave this a try.
This book was fun to read and I enjoyed reading it a lot, but the story itself is just not as impressive as I thought it would be, which I really didn't mind. I love that this is less like a thriller, since there's barely any suspense or tension, but it's more like a story about how much a father loves his daughter.
A cosy and cute read full of life lessons that I can imagine that some people won't like very much. But it made me feel very nostalgic and there are some things I still need to reflect on and think about.
You get a sweet little story about a boy in Japan but at the same you get these like essays on life too that are there to help that boy with some of the things he faces and make you think about how about your own life a lot. I could relate to it a lot because the difficulties Copper faces are things that everyone most likely has faced at one point in there lives before.
This story also made me so emotional and still does thinking about it. I will cherish this book forever and I am so happy I read it.

I enjoyed this book even more than the first one. Getting to know the characters and their stories and what they get from travelling back in time or to the future was just lovely and such a comfort and a little sad.
This was a fun book to read, some parts were a bit too slow for me with not much going on and the end left a lot of things unresolved which didn't bother me too much but it's still somewhat.. noticeable? I loved that the protagonist is Chinese-American and lives in Chinatown because although that was not the main focus of this book, I feel like it was something different from the usual books you might find and read. It's clearly YA and sometimes I feel like it moves a bit too fast other times a bit too slow but overall it was really enjoyable.
I enjoyed this a lot!! Not sure how I feel about it being very similar to post-war Berlin and feels very much like a parody and I'm not sure if I like that... I love the characters and the story though!!
Didn't enjoy the writing unfortunately. It was rather too plain, too little information on what is actually happening that it left me confused the whole time. I didn't like how it only told the story and explained everything indirectly and with implications. I would like a definite answer here and there if possible please.
Another fun book that I really enjoyed reading although some of the things about the world and the politics stuff I didn't care to understand, since it was too much for my poor brain. Some things in this book did bother me but the main thing is just that it didn't explain or show much of the character development in detail.. i also feel like this book is more about the plot than the characters, so that's fine but that would make some things hm a bit of an issue. the fact that Jainan is just coming out of an abusive relationship and enters an arranged marriage right after - well, he recovered rather quick from that? But like I understand that was not the main focus (or is it?) but it makes the abuse and all the trauma from such an abusive relationship like a plot device.. not sure if I'm really okay with that..
I went in not knowing what this book is about and I'm glad I did because I also went out not knowing what it was about haha
This book feels and reads like a fever dream. At one point, I didn't know where I was, what was happening and if this is all really true (within the novel, of course) or not. There are certain things that are constant throughout the book but holding onto them really didn't help.
I was completely immersed and was a little bit disoriented when I finished it. It was quite a unique experience and I enjoyed that a lot. Will have to reread this one day to see if it still has the same effect on me now that I know what's going to happen and if I can maybe make more connections and figure out what it's about.
Another book about the horrors of war and what people are capable of and how it affects people's lives and their future...
I'm not sure what it is but the writing put me off a bit. Maybe because it was written like a journal and I was not expecting that? I think I prefer a story with more dialogue and less like a journal filled with thoughts the whole time. I also didn't connect with the characters or the world. It's an interesting world and the concept is very intriguing and I did enjoy reading about it but wasn't really into it.
The art style is not something I usually would love, so it took some getting used to, but the characters and the story were very enjoyable and hilarious so I didn't mind it much.
This book was not really for me... I liked the plot but I had a hard time connecting with the story and the writing. It was too slow for me and the time jumps really confused me. I did like how it ended though, at least how everything was revealed and explained!
