Really getting tired of Connelly feeling the need to interject his politics into his books recently. What happened to just telling a good story? We are bombarded with politics all day every day. Do these authors not understand we read books to have an escape from the constant bickering?

Semi entertaining story. Ruined by the slavery and rich white men vs the poor black women aspects. Is slavery and race all popular authors fan write about now days?

More of a preachy sermon than an actual good story....

I didn't realize Alaska was so woke! Multiple gay relationships. A transgender bar owner. Somehow white supremacy linked to being anti vampire.

The story wasn't that great either. Just kind of drug on.

Only book I have ever read where the movie was substantially better than the book!

Kind of misleading to say it's a continuation of the firm.

Really immature characters.
