I had this one on my list as a must for 2020, made sure to squeeze it in at the very end. All in all, I really enjoyed the story. It had friendship, humor, arrogance, and very very sexy.
I know there were mixed reviews online cause of the premise of the story. Yes, it's set at the beginning of this horrifying pandemic but the story and the characters reacted just as we all reacted at the beginning of all this. It definitely wasn't written in bad taste, point is, its a romance novel like all the others. Honestly I would have loved to be as luck as Sadie to find love during this pandemic.
The story takes place in an apartment building in San Francisco. Sadie is a romance writer and Evan is a football player, hiding in his friend's apartment from a scandal going on that may end his career. The two meet on their balconies and begin to form a bond and strong feelings for one another without ever touching and keeping themselves always six feet apart.
I gave this one a thumbs up! It had everything I was looking for, plus it was definitely a different angle from a story that we've all been experiencing.
Also..that cover though!
This was such a great holiday romance! I loved the first book of the series ‘The Tourist Attraction' and I just knew that this one wasn't going to be any different. In this story we follow Lana & Rick, which were both introduce in the first book. Lana is trying to convince the town of Moose Spring that she belongs which focuses her to tell the town that she would help in catching the Santa moose running around town. In comes Rick, the bar owner that's been hitting some tough times lately and isn't getting any easier. He decides to help Lana on this crazy mission of catching this moose.
This was an adorable story. Recommend if you love slow burn romance, some good laughs and of course Christmas!
I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series!
Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
I've been a huge fan of the movie growing up. Every time it was on tv, I'd always stop to watch. I'll just say that the book and the movie are completely different. It still tells the story of the Owen girls but it's more about their bond as sisters than a love story. In the end I really enjoyed both the movie and the books in their own individual way. Excited to continue the stories of the Owen witches in the next books.
If you like stories of witches, family, and magic then you'll really enjoy this one!
It was an absolute delight. The perfect light hearted rom-com you need.
It's a bit slow at first then definitely picks up when Calvin gets an opportunity of a lifetime. But the only way to make it happen is by getting a Visa to stay in the states, so Holland proposes a marriage of convenience. The instant chemistry that developments between them is simply swooning! They just bring out the best in one another.
You definitely get a vibe from the movie ‘The Proposal' with Sandra Bullock & Ryan Reynolds!
I picked this book up on a whim from reading all the hype on the gram. I hadn't even taken a glance at the synopsis, I downloaded it on my Kindle and took the leap. The cover was so adorable I though it was going to be a cute coming of age high school romance. Lol. Boy was I wrong and damn did I really enjoy this book!! Not only was it toes curling hella sexy

I'm torn with my review on this book. The story had me fully invested through and through because honestly I needed to know how Erika & Michael's story was going to end. As you start reading the story you're in dire need finding out what truly happened to them and their group of friends in their past, so those flashback chapters were exciting to me. A+ on the intimate scenes between Erika & Michael, they were

08/18/2020 - I started reading this book on a kindle edition, immediately falling in love with it that I had to purchase a physical copy.
This book was a little different from other fantasies I've read; liking how the heroine of the story (Alessandra) wasn't such an innocent, quick lovable character. She was tough, straightforward, ambitious in fighting for what she wanted, and also having skeletons in her closet most men would say clear from. Deep down inside all she wanted was someone to see her for who she truly was.
Then there's the Shadow King: ruthless, handsome, kind, and lonely. He's determined to find out the truth about his parents and wont let anything or anyone stop him...until Alessandra changes everything.
I loved the dynamic of these characters, their friendship, their slow burn romance, and how they helped each other even through all their flaws. I know this is a stand alone story but I would love to see this world keep growing.
Received an ARC of this book by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
The premise of this story had me very intrigued. It's a story about a woman named April, 35, recently divorced and in the outskirts of life. She's torn on where to go and what to do next, so she invest her life savings on a rundown chalet/lodge, which in turn means more to her than people think. With this new venture of bringing this chalet park back to life, she discovers new friendships, old love stories, and perhaps a second chance at love herself.
I truly enjoyed this read from start to finish. I'd say this is like an adorable hallmark movie.
This is one of the books you read and have a smile on your face while reading it. The banter between Liya and Jay had me smiling throughout the whole book. Loved the Enemies-to-Lovers trope. Loved learning about the Indian culture and the way it mixed with today's modern dating. It's also a story with so much endearment, raw emotion, and empowerment.
I also felt so much emotion for the things Liya had been going through in her life. It doesn't matter what culture, religion, or ethnicity you are no woman should have to go through those things.
This book was not only a love story but also how life is messy and tough for women. It's a story for those who have a voice that should fight for what they believe in and what they know is the truth.
I highly recommended this book to everyone. This one is getting all the stars from me!
Trigger warnings: Death and Sexual Assault.
This was one of those books that you want to devour in one sitting but at the same wanting to take your time so it would never end.
I have never enjoyed a book so much that I was willing to take my time reading it so I can feel transported into the story and never leave. I wanted to be part of Rhysand's inner circle. And I'm not even going to get started on the details of that ‘Love Declaration'. ::swoon::
Things I loved about this story:
1. Plus Size Heroine!
2. How honest and relatable the main character was.
3. How much you felt for the love and heartbreaks of the story.
4. How when all emotions are on the table, you still managed to have laugh out loud moments.
5. How no matter how different you are, you can thrive to do anything!
6. Self-worth and Self-love!
This book was fantastic to me!
Highly recommend in audiobook if possible, you can really feel the experience so much more, really enjoyable.
So I'm a big Pride & Prejudice fan, forever Mr Darcy! This story was so sweet and delightful. If your a fan of Jane Austen and her novels, you'll enjoy this out of the box experience in Austenland! Just imagine yourself going back to the time in Austen's novels and being able to relive them for yourself. Being able to find your very own Mr. Darcy. This story follow Jane Hayes, an obsessed fan of Jane Austen and her realization what it truly real and what is fantasy in her live and deciding whether it's time to give up on the fantasy. If you're looking for a fun light read, this one is for you! After you finish reading, check out the quirky movie adaptation of the book, you'll definitely get yourself some good laugh.
This series has been so much fun to read, will definitely read the third one. I'm still on the outs on whether I like the first book more than this one but still equally as enjoyable. The first book was a second change romance, this one is somewhat an enemies-to-lovers but to me the enemies thing didn't last as long to consider that. The overall story was interesting but I feel like the romance part of it was more of a side story than being the main concept of the story.
Mack was a very lovable character and not was obnoxious as her was in the first book. With Liv, you will have moments were she'll get on your nerves but tolerable. What's still important is that the whole bromance group reading books still continues in this book, you'll even get them going into a bookstore to buy romance novels on the main opening chapter.
