i can't believe this book that I picked up randomly earned itself a 5 star from me. this was so millenial and chronically online but in the best way AND SO FUNNY. like I never laugh while reading books and this one had me giggling and gasping every other page. the insane stories and circumstances, the commentary, the plot twist oh my god ?? its the kind of read that makes you annoyed with how good it is and that you actually enjoyed it and I've never felt that before in my life honestly.

it was fine. first half really had a grip on me and I read it in one day but then the rest of the book was just like idk dragging and here I am a week later finally done. i think the story just wasn't interesting to me, I didn't care abt a single character and they were all annoying and the only thing that kept me going was the cheating aspect but it wasn't really that interesting after a while. hate to compare it to normal poeple but I highlighted half of that book and think abt it everyday and abt all the beautiful sentences and conversations and this one just didn't have it in my opinion

this was quite similar to grown ups by marie aubert (but I liked it more than this one). part 1 was so good I was invested in the drama of it all but part 2 was a slog and the ending just went nowhere.

this was so YA but not in a good way and I don't mind that genre when done right. this was just not for me and I didn't really care about the plot bc u know what's going to happen so there was nothing in this book that kept me wanting to continue besides the fact that I paid money for it so I had to finish. also how the fuck is there two more books, this is crazy

i didn't read the synopsis or tags so if I knew beforehand that the sci-fi part IS the plot twist i wouldn't even read it. i love sci-fi and fantasy and other genres but I absolutely HATE it when they become a plot twist in thrillers bc its not a thriller anymore?? i was so invested in the story and had so many theories and the second the reveal came i literally almost dnfed the book bc what's the point in finishing

I finally came around to reading this book after trying like 5 times before but I wasn't ready. This was a hard and frustrating read but so good and important. I love that Vanessa isn't perfect, especially in the 2017 parts but as a reader you understand why she is like this and its just very sad. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is bc in my opinion it was too long, especially in the second half and there were moments where I zoned out bc nothing really happend. 50pg long chapters were also a little annoying to get thru

adam is the only man ever and idc how cringe and ridiculous this book is. 4 stars coz the sex scene was god awful, 3rd act conflict annoying and just the last 80 or so pages boring as hell. basically the whole book up until chapter 16 was 5 stars to me.
