This was fun. The secret is go into it with no expectations and understand the author's note at the beginning.
I appreciate that this book didn't try to be anything other than entertaining and easy to read.

This was sooo easy to read. I've been in a really bad fantasy slump for a while now and I needed something that was easy to follow so I was very entertained.
One thing that did bother me was the constant “but he killed my parents and my brother”, okay shut uuuppp.
This was absolutely a 5 star for me
The vibes were perfect from the very beginning. I thought I was going to hate this world cause modern-day-earthxfantasy doesn't do it for me but she made it work.
I loved Misery. She probably has one of my favorite fmc personalities of all time now. Yes I did hate her name and I appreciate that the characters also didn't let it slide.
Her torturing Alex was one of my favorite things to read.
Lowe is a freaking dream, the absolute king of protective alpha personalities.
This book just itched every microtrope scratch I had, intense when it had to be and fun all the way through
I feel like the fact that we only get Finny and Autumn in the last couple of pages was intentional. I really felt it in my bones the regret they both had of not getting together sooner and then when everything happened it just magnified it. For me the most heartbreaking part of this story was the lost time so yeah even if I would've liked to see more Finn and less dickhead Jamie, I kinda get the point.
I have mixed feelings about this but overall I liked it.
The romance was okay I guess but what kept me reading was the plot. Kinda hard to keep up with the chaos of everything happening at the end but it was definitely interesting.
I am by no means an expert but the study felt real, very well thought and put together. I was not bored once reading about the research, I think it was one of the coolest parts for me cause it matched the ominous vibes of the book, which I also loved.
It was so stressful trying to decide when I'd be reading this book but I picked reading it first before TOG cause that's what most people recommended so I'm excited to see where this goes.
I can't believe I'm rating it this high. I love reading fantasy but it has to have romance for me to really really love it so the fact that this book had so little of it and I enjoyed it so much is insane.
I loved Celaena, I think she's so cool and I can't wait for her to get the revenge she so clearly deserves.
The way that possessive asshole made it his mission in life to backstab her every chance he could got me so annoyed, I hope he has a slow torturous death.

There is no way in hell I'm subjecting my poor eyes to these dialogues anymore.
This book wasn't exceptional or shocking but it was fun and that's what I was expecting.
I always turn to the Briar U universe when I need a good light read.
It was a little lengthy but I didn't mind. I'm pretty sure I've said this before but Elle Kennedy definitely knows how to wrap up a story with a satisfying ending and that's part of why I love reading these books so much
wow this hurt.
I fully knew joey’s story would be sad but it was still so heartbreaking to read about.
You can clearly see that this book was written to be devastating. The pace was slower and everything that happened was predictable but it was just so emotionally intense that it didn’t need incredible plot twists or inventive ideas to be good. I care about them on a concerning level, I just love Aoife and Joey so much.
Giving this book 5 stars for the sole reason of it being the most relatable thing I have ever read. (According to MY experiences)
I’m a complicated blend of both Halle and Henry and seeing it so accurately described gave me such a sense of comfort, it’s hard to explain (In true Henry fashion).
I know this isn’t for everyone and it’s not a masterpiece but these characters and the way the author wrote this story made it a really sentimental read for me.

I am fuummmiinnng. Go to the literal deepest depths of hell Lionel, you slimy worm with wings.
Can’t believe he stole my Tory+Darius moment from me.
This is getting so good, I’m fully on board. My only concern is I don’t see how a phoenix is stronger than a dragon but I’m gaslighting myself into believing that is the case and somehow they’re gonna come out on top with this whole Order thing.
I’m so unapologetically addicted to this series now.
My absolute favorite thing to do is read for fun and ZA is serving that good time on a silver platter.
It’s giving drama, revenge, humor, tension, action, the list goes on.
Can’t wait to read what else these authors have come up with.
Took all my critical thinking and morals, wrapped them in a shiny box and launched them out the window. (Recommended course of action before starting this)
I loved that the magic system took exactly 2 brain cells to understand, so it was really just a fun time with no effort.
Yes this is addicting and yes i’m going to immediately jump into the next one.
Cute little rom-com and a pretty good bet for an in-between book.
Also it was a whole different experience seeing the mmc being kind of a dick but in a believable, real world way? While also still being redeemable (obviously)
Olive was a mess altogether but so relatable, especially the need to disagree with everything and the bickering.
Very fun story.
Well this just about broke my soul. When I say I cried, I mean I SOBBED and when I say I love Aoife and Joey, I mean they are literally my favorite fictional couple in all of existence.
My skeptical ass did not believe this book was going to be worth the amount of pages but I was wrong, it kept me hooked from the start and I wasn’t bored for even half a second.
So worth the hype. 10/10 no notes
