4.75 stars. Almost so good. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood, but it felt a little longer than it needed to be; loved all the little callbacks to book 1 though!

felt like a fever dream. the writing was exquisite.

somehow wildly connected. every story here felt like a hug. perfect for a nighttime book.

deep. not sure I understood everything it had to offer, but it was a good bedtime story — mellow and comforting in a way.

felt like a fever dream ; the writing is so incredibly stunning.

nostalgia at its finest; the humor is so on point too!

3.5 rounded up, victim of a reading slump. but it was good; a lot more variety in character than the first, which I like.

this was incredible. great depiction of grief, war, found family, and, most importantly, one of my favorite romances of all time <3. literally, writer romances are my favorites. also: so many incredible quotes! I was crying and laughing and giggling the whole time.

loved the humor. favorite essay is probably The Happy Place or Easy, Tiger.

hilarious, as always; perhaps even more so than the first! Douglas' humor always hits the spot :)

One of the best thrillers I've read. Couldn't put it down (and thus mowed down like 500 pages in 1 day). Really dark in the best way. Min and Tack should have been together. Noah is confusing. (If you're reading this, go read this book.)

4.5 rounded down – really, really good though!

So. Good. The best writing I have ever read, probably more stuff highlighted than not, and the quotes were gorgeous.

3.75, rounded up.

4.25. really loved the representation of trauma in this book :)

So relatable. Would give it 6 stars if I could.

A reread. Currently just as good as I remember it to be :)

4.5 rounded down. loved the humor (seriously, scar + fin = comedy gold). perfect amalgamation of wholesomeness, heartbreakingness, and toe-curling action. go read pls if you like: sci-fi/dystopian, and/or easy-to-read books w/ amazingly written characters.

4.75 rounded up.

4.25 rounded down.

4.25, sad but not as sad as I thought it would be

4.5 stars rounded down.

2.5 rounded up. Writing style was too hard to read.
