A sad yet beautiful tragedy of Hans.
Beneath The Wheel is one miserable tale of how parents pin all their hopes on their child & how the the child succumbs to this burden of expectations.
There are many great writers but no one comes close to what Hermann Hesse writes. Sheer genius indeed. This is his fifth book I've read. Steppenwolf, Siddhartha, Demian, Narcissus & Goldmund! Each book is a masterpiece! Still can't get enough of Hesse!
This one is a pure gem! A masterpiece by Oscar Wilde! Lord Henry Wotton's cynical, hedonistic yet witty philosophy! Basil Hallward's idolatry infatuation towards Dorian Gray. And the evolution of Dorian Gray's character. Exquisitely beautiful tale!
P.S: When it comes to profound epigrams, Oscar is divinely genius!
Okay. This has to be the one of the best books I've read in my life! Absoulute brilliance. Hermann Hesse's is godmode in this one! Classic masterpiece! No words to describe it. I'm definitely going to read this one again! Can't get enough of it!
I've a very weird memory attached with this book! I had read this one during those sleepless nights and then, when I went to sleep, I screamed in my sleep. Everyone woke up with a shudder, but I couldn't remember why I screamed. I was probably having a weird dream about the imagery that was described in this book! It deals with paranoia and schizophrenia in a brilliant way! A weird and amazing experience! Classic Lovecraft horror!
A book which is a must read for anyone and everyone. Light hearted yet beautifully profound and emotional at the same time. Fredrik Backman at his very best in this one!
The best by Chetan Bhagat. Unlike his usual no brainer fictional novels, this is better.
He should focus more on non fiction!
