What are some captivating fantasy books for teens?Answer
Whether you call it young adult fantasy, YA, or just fantasy – fictional worlds and magical elements have inspired readers for generations. They can be a gateway to reading in a way that real-world-based stories cannot. What fantasy books do you recommend for teenagers (or even tweens or pre-teens) to hook them into the fantasy genre? These could be books set in a fictional universe, books with magic elements, or anything else that plays with magical realism to tell a compelling tale that school-aged readers can identify with.

Why this book?
This book is a classic of Scifi by Orson Scott Card, while I don't enjoy his books as much as I used to this will be always be one I have fond memories of. I 1st read this book when I was in Jr High (I think somewhere around 12-15 yrs old) and fell in love with Ender, the boy genious called on to save the world from the insectoid aliens the formics, ------ while to be honest I dont feel this book has aged well due to some of cards views and the terms he uses in the book it still a really good story
