I really loved the writing and the representation of women in STEM. The romance was well done but I noticed if I took a break from this book for even a day I would start to forget what happened in the book so I think it'll be a bit forgettable for me.
I really did love this book and its raw, real depiction of extremely important issues. This really resonated with me at the time I read it and it couldn't have been any more perfect. What doesn't make it a full 5 stars for me is similar to the one I had with the Float Plan because I wish this didn't have an HEA. I feel like the story didn't need to have a wrapped-up romance in the end and that it took away from the story a bit. But overall I really enjoyed it

I really did love the themes in this book. This book is very important and this made me understand why people really love team sports which is a weird thing to get from this book. I have never really been a sports person even tho I played them when I was younger but I never understand why people are always so committed to them. This made me understand that. Besides that I really like how all the perspectives mattered to tell a story of how sexual assault can impact so many people especially when sports players are involved. The writing wasn't my favorite and it was a bit too slow for me but besides that I adored this.
This book was really interesting and I honestly loved the combination of serial killers with something more out of this world. There was one line put in here that was racist and just a thought of the main character that wasn't necessary at all and it really rubbed me the wrong way but I loved everything else.
This graphic novel was a beautiful slice of life story that follows four different friends. There are 5 shorter stories in the graphic novel, one for each woman, and then one that celebrates their friendship.
This graphic novel showed the diversity and connections between black women from hair to their love lives to mental health. I loved how each woman was so different and there was so much representation in this short graphic novel. We saw a toxic ex, depression and mental health struggles, queer representation, trying to reconnect with family, and love life struggles.
This honestly had everything I could ever want and more and don't even get me started on the art style! It was absolutely so stunning and one of my favorite art styles I've ever seen in a graphic novel.
Thank you to Chronicle Books, Jamila Rowser, Robyn Smith, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really did enjoy this book because ms. karin knows how to write. there were some parts that were slow and a bit more “boring” which is why it isn't a full 5 star from me. i also never guess twists and i guessed one of them like halfway through so that hindered my enjoyment a little bit but the other twist had me by the THROAT

The beginning hooked me a little bit but I got bored so quick. I honestly didn't care about the characters at all. Dorian is supposed to be like broody and whatever and I get it but the explanation and trauma that caused that is barely talked about. The smut was good so I bumped it from 2 to a 2.5. I don't think historical romances are for me honestly.
I really love the commentary and comparison of the monstrous actions of the man abusing the main character to those of the actual creature. The overall story was great but just like Marcy Reads I also for some reason feel slightly disappointed and I'm not sure why exactly. I just don't love it like how I thought I would and there's nothing wrong with the book, I just wanted more.

I loved this book even more the second time around because I was able to pay more attention to the details and these books are just so faced paced I can never put them down.

Ms. Jackson is literally a queen and I stan her so hard. This book was amazing and I loved the mixed media elements so much. I relate to Pip so much and her and Ravi's relationship is literally the cutest.
This book is one I could read over and over and over again because it is just so masterfully done. It is a work of art. The subtle aggressions of a toxic, abusive relationship that were explored in here were so relatable and the character dynamics were so well crafted. Who doesn't want a queer, historical retelling with vampires that does violence and smut equally well and explores important topics?

okay ik this book is so angsty and dramatic and messy but it resonates with my angsty, dramatic, messy soul consistently

This book was just perfection and I just adored the characters and the themes throughout it. It made me so emotional and for being a high school romance, I feel like it dealt with everything perfectly. The end also was written so well and I just loved every moment of it. I couldn't put it down.

I normally am not a huge fan of holiday romances of fluffy contemporary romances but I absolutely adored this one. I don't know exactly why this worked for me but I loved the characters, I loved their chemistry, I loved exploring their pasts, and the smut?! Omg it was just so good
