What are your favorite books centered around magical girls?Answer
I've been wanting to get into literature about magical girls! I finished A Magical Girl Retires by Park Seolyeon recently. Feel free to give any recommendations similar to it if you have any!

Why this book?
Not exactly a “magical girl” book like “A Magical Girl Retires” but the protagonists are women, the main of whom is magical. The book discusses depression and while not taking place in the modern world the themes feel more relatable to modern day struggles than most high fantasy settings I’ve encountered.
I do want to add though, if you are looking for a book with a good mix of comedy as well as magic and relatable social commentary this book might be a skip. It’s rather serious.
