I might change my mind on the rating after sitting with it a while but ?!?!?
I genuinely almost dnf'd this after 100 pages but I stuck with it when it had flashes of being a book I really enjoyed. It picked up, then slowed a bit, but then the last act I was on the edge of my seat.

stupid theatre kids

wow this took me back to uni.

tldr; slightly messy bisexual works through their trauma and finds their queer family ❤️

on the one hand this is a well written and researched biography but on the other hand it's about a guy who appears to be a snobby, racist, biphobic misogynistic asshole

you ever read a book where the mc is the least interesting character in the whole thing? yeah, this is that kind of book.

the mc is mean-spirited and a poor friend and daughter but it's okay because everything works out great for her in the end!

damn, now I want to be a dog knight

I liked the art style but this just felt like a re-hash of the tv show tbh

beautifully written but this was not for me

sorry WHAT JUST HAPPENED? excuse me

but also lowkey where does this even fit in canon? it genuinely felt like the characters had personality transplants.

yes I'm english so it's 100% called football but these soccer sapphic rivals to lovers are all I could want

did I read a different book to everyone else or something? this was full of homophobia and sexual assault. a bunch of small-town drama that seemed to make most of its characters miserable.

the tears i will shed in the cinema

jen wilde, I can't believe you made me wait four years for this.

is anna-marie mclemore overrated or do I just not get them?

classics are just not for me

nah the tone of this didn't work for me, even if the author was self-aware about it all

what a wild, messed up, completely ott ride

cosy fantasies are just not for me

first half was 3 stars, second half was 4 stars so I'll round up for this
it feels like it's setting up to be a series so fingers crossed

gonna organise a search party for eve polastri because she was nowhere to be seen in this book

but then again I did get an entire book of canon villaneve which is more than what I can say about the show

some of the conflict in this was stupid and they went from 0-100 in about two seconds but this was pretty decent overall

I think it's time to accept that I just do not vibe with political fantasies
