A great book about the kind of magic that can sprout between a teacher and his/her students. Sounds corny, I know, but I've seen it happen a few times.

UNPUTDOWNABLE! TRIGGER WARNINGS! SICK! TWISTED!
Geez, this book was one of the most twisted pieces of writing I have ever read. This author needs some psychological help. AND I LOVED EVERY PAGE OF IT!

I like that we learn how to say “hello” in many different languages that some of our schools have students from some of these parts of the world. However, I felt like there wasn't a story line...it was missing something.

“There are always scary things that happen in the world. There are always wonderful things happening. And it's up to you how you're going to approach the world...how you're going to live in it and what you're going to do.” Jo Ellen Chapman

TRIPLE LOVED IT! I didn't want it to end. I wanted to read more of Dwight's crazy antics and Yoda's advice. And I'm not even a Star Wars fan...yes, I know, I should share that publicly.

“Great book” said my dog-loving tutee. She likes the way the dog gives his perspective about living with humans. She wants to read the whole series!

Favorite quote “How will I ever soar with the eagles if I'm surrounded by turkeys?” I loved the sarcasm and the writing style and especially the way the main character went from the invisible Vera Dietz to the invincible Vera Dietz.

I couldn't put this book down. I had to finish it today. What an inspirational and truly touching story and, most of all, character. Ms. Melody will be with me forever.

Science has never been my favorite subject but when you put the story of people lives behind the science at the forefront I suddenly become intrigued.

This was an absolutely awesome! I saw so many way to use the book. As a librarian I could use it to teach and talk about genres. As a writing teacher I could use it to teach and talk about the brainstorming of a story or how a story can begin in many different ways. Great book!
