I received a copy of this book for a fair review. I have large jugs of local honey in my pantry so I may have bought it anyway.
Initial impressions - a very pretty book with nice pictures. I like the descriptions of the honey varieties and even the recipes that go best with each (wildflower vs tupelo vs ghost pepper).
Rather dated book with a deceptive title. At the end there was a list of 101 cunning things like ‘hire a lawyer”. The rest of the book tries to describe flaws of bird feeders in repelling squirrels using: attempts at humorous anecdotes, long winded descriptions of types of feeders (most without even a helpful photo), and ways to deal with squirrels based on a dated? “scientific” analysis of the species.
Do the Ghost Walk instead! I did the Ocean Isle Ghost walk tour and it was great- not “woowoo” and all stories they personally had heard. Bought this book hoping it would have extra stories and more details, but it has pixelated! photos, blurry line drawings (not just the normal blurry ghost pictures, the actually drawings weren't printed well) and less detail than the tour stories. I really wanted to find out more from the tour (go if you are in the area). They are planning to work on the book, so maybe next edition!
An engaging if bit simple story. The 10 year it is actually written for loved it and would go to bed early to hear more story.
Pictures are awesome and beautiful. Sorry non-existent and reads like “Happiness is a warm puppy “ type books.

An intriguing introduction to a story, but just...stops. Not even at a vague “what is real” point, just stops.
Disclaimer- I received a copy of the book through a giveaway and read it in short sections which can interrupt continuity.
This book used nearly everything to awkwardly get our narrator to his next AhHa moments. Incompetent and missing police. Reveals that have nothing connecting them other than very contrived events and a convenient ending.
Makes me homesick for Denver and Colorado. Fun romance and characters though the main characters made some odd choices (to advance plot). Need more Tex Cat Sitter Stories
