DNF I stopped at 15-20% in, when the H already had sex with two different woman, after almost having sex with the h, but didn't because of her age (17). I despise descriptive sex scenes that involve people other then the H/h, so this was not my thing!
3.5 stars!
So I am feeling a bit like Kathy Bates in Misery right now...
I feel the need to chain Maggie Walsh up and get her to writing the next book in this series! lol
I liked this one slightly less then the others only because there seemed to be so much going on that the mating of Milo, Maddy, and Josh seemed to take a bit of a backseat here. There are SO many characters I can't wait to see get their HEA, Lord Lucifer, Cass, some of the Legion Guards, Evan etc...
I am always amazed when a writer can keep a story moving forward and growing over the course of (so far 11) books, and make each one engaging, and interesting. Maggie Walsh, you have a fan for life in me!
So color me surprised, but I ADORED this book!! I usually avoid anything that involves cheating but though Javier was technically married, he didn't have any sort of relationship with her since before they were married. They only married because she was pregnant, and he wanted to give his daughter a good life. I love Javier, man was this guy a hot dirty talking yum yum! lol I also like Alex, and my heart broke for her at one point. This book was just really well written, hot, full of feels...I loved it!
Safety gang peeps..side note After Javier breaks up with Alex, there is a 5 year time span, he doesn't sleep with anyone during that time. Alex moves on and marries, but doesn't love her husband. They did have sex though.
Really liked this one! Hero was not a manwhore (a miracle), no OW drama. Her ex is a baddie, but that was about it in the OM drama. Nice light read.
This was just an OK read for me. I'm not found of the drunken one night stand gets pregnant, so i'll leave the h I love to marry the ONS and do the right thing. It's the 21st century, you can co-parent now-a-days!! I also didn't get that “bang” of a connection between the H/h. I thought the H was just to..I dunno...mellow I guess.
That being said, I do think this author has potential, some of the dialogue had me laughing out loud in a good way, so I may check out future books. :)
Another great read, could have done without the explicit sex scene between Crew and his two fuck buddies at the beginning. though for some reason this type of thing bothers me less in m/m books then m/f books! On to the next one...
I loved both Victor and Adam, and the continued World building is just so good! I have a theory about who Raith's child is, I think it will turn out to be Mathew. On to the next!
I loved all 10 books in the Desire Oklahoma series, so I thought I'd give this one the try. It's about the founding fathers who build the town of Desire, Welp, what can I say, I did not like this one AT ALL. First of all, how many frigging times did I need to hear about the whores that Eb and Jeremiah had prior to the h. I swear it was mentioned like every other chapter. They even mentioned the whores in front of the h once...bleh.
Apparently a whore train came through once in awhile and serviced all the guys on the ranch..all I could think about was...
Give me a minute whilst I swallow down my vomit. If you're familiar with the Desire series you know these guys are Doms, so ubber controlling, which I loved in the Desire series, but in this one the H's just came across as bullies, and the h was annoying as all hell.
Not sure I am going to bother with the other two in this series...
This book was just OK. I really would have been better had it been a bit longer. Henry and Ajay meet and realize they are fated mates, but for some reason, which is just so odd to me in a shifter book, the dude decided he was in his 30's and it was time to get married and raise cubs, with a woman, a woman who he knew is not his fated mate??!! WHY??
In anycase, he starts dating Ajay whilst married, the wife confronts Ajay, he's appalled because Henry never told him he married and he runs off. All the above is basically told in a flashback. The book starts a year later and Henry's wife is conveniently dead, and Henry is chasing the hunters. He stumbles upon a lab and there in a cage is poor Ajay.
Of course Ajay wants nothing to do with him because he is a cheater (duh), and because the book is so short he forgive Henry lickidly split, and ends up preggo (the one thing the wife couldn't give Henry! Take that conveniently dead wife!! *lol) because of something the crazy lab lady did to him...the end.
3.5 stars
I surprisingly really like book one in this series, so I was looking forward to this one a lot.
I didn't love this one as much as book one, mainly because of the h, she was just a little to much, a little to “in your face”, I much prefer that my h be a little less on the aggressive side. Both H's were great though, it isn't seldom you read about a 5´7 hero, so that was a nice change of pace.
Still a decent read, and I can't wait for a book three, I assume there will be one...hopefully!
This one lost a star because Dare was such a douche for a good portion of the book, and I didn't really enjoy that. This series is really just so good though!
This was a pretty good quick read.
The h seemed a tad judgy at the beginning, but perhaps she has been reading the same manwhore biker books I have been forced to endure lately! lol
This author can be hit or miss with me, thankfully this fell in the hit category!
I LOVE me a good daddy/little kink, so I was looking forward to reading this, alas, it was just an OK read.
Also, and maybe it was just me, but I was cruising along, enjoying the story, turned the page to find out where the heck Clara had gotten off to, and then BAM, the book was done?? Like THE END, that's all she wrote folks! I was like..huh? WTF just happened??
I guess I am going to have to wait until the next book to find out where the heck Clara is...
These are really just quick, hot reads. Insta love, not a lot of angst..I liked it though!
I wanted to like this more then I did. :( I just couldn't connect with either character, the BDSM seemed a bit forced, I didn't like the long separation, and it ended really abruptly in my opinion.
I've heard a lot of great things about this author though, so I'm sure I'll give him another go, maybe it was just this one that wasn't my cup of tea!
