I loved this story when I was a child. I thought it was funny that it had baby alligators in it.
Wow! Wow! Eeewww! Short but sufficiently creepy (and kinda gross). I love it when you know something is going to happen that you really wouldn't want to see, but you just can't stop yourself because it has you on the edge of your seat and you can't look away. So I kept reading and getting more and more creeped out. And it went from creeped out to grossed out. This is classic horror.
I'll tell you one thing; I won't be borrowing anyone's pram to push my groceries home in!
The characters seem so oblivious to what's going on in each other's lives. There is so much going on in the story that seems so improbable. For me, this is not a memorable book.
I read this book based on the recommendation of several acquaintances. Umph...it was a awful! I finished it to the end because I was waiting and waiting for the “soooo good” part. Never happened. It's all sex, emotional abuse, low self esteem ick. It's just not for me.
Well written and easy to read. It moved a little slow at first, but wasn't boring even so. Things picked up with some twists and turns along the way. It was a satisfying read for those who like thrillers.
