Wolf Pup.....
Everytime it was said, I was like: “ohhh that's so cute!” Even though it wasn't meant to be that way.
There are a lot of things I enjoyed about this book, but let me tell you it was definitely hard to get through. I felt exhausted all the time and honestly I think it was because of the willing blood spread. Once it was over, because it wasn't enough anymore, I felt the story starts to pick up.
The “Final Battle” honestly the peak of the story, the moment when you finally see the whole power of this world and what it has to offer. At that point that I felt like I was reading something else. Totally save the book for me. Don't get me wrong, I did like the book before that, but I wasn't sure if to continue with the next one, but the cinematic feeling of great powers colliding was amazing. Plus the new looks on two of the main characters were fascinating.
Although the book does have a romance, actually several, story lines, It wasn't enough for me, but that's just my personal preference. I can say that this book is plainly cute.
As closure I would like to refer to the lovely sisterhood of the twins. They love each other so much you know none of them would give up on the other. Neve will probably need this soon. And at last, perhaps an unpopular opinion, Queen Isla. I felt so bad about her death and how she started to vanish. I believe she didn't know how to love her daughters knowing she was going to lose one at some point, but that drove her to lose both. And still I can't help myself but to think that she did love them, and that's what makes all so sad around her.

Even though It was an anticipated release of the year, and I was super excited for it, I just couldn't keep going. The sadness of this book is too much for me. Despite having some “happy”moments, there is a shadow in the whole book that makes it feel depressing.
I might come back to finish it at some point in life, but right now I can't.
I was really hoping that this novella would add something far more Important to the main series but nope.
Over all I like it but it lacked of purpose, and the ending was like a sharp blade, I was hoping for more. Maybe an explanation of the rest of her life? Did she just accepted that was trap in the tower and that was it?
I think it had potential but wasn't explored.
Definitivamente hay poemas que me cautivaron, pero el resto se enfoca en un solo punto e incluso se repiten las mismas palabras. Aunque es un tema muy importante, me hubiese gustado que se lo explore de maneras diferentes para hubiese algo de variedad.
ARC Review - I'm very grateful to have been able to read this in advance.
The characters' internal journey of the story was amazing to follow. I got very emotionally attached to Ex that by the end of the book I was super proud of him. I did enjoy all of the characters, they felt very distinctive from one another and still created a good dynamic. I also liked the juxtaposition of the hunters and Phis, to see both sides. Though I thought that was going to create a change within the hunters, but It seemed they didn't even know about Narissa. Also, I liked that throughout the story there were important friendships that made everything much more meaningful.
Loved the magic system. It was very different from what I have read so far. Sometimes the magic system tends to feel very fairytale like which is not a bad thing but since this story had so much lore, the magic here felt very real and possible. I also liked that there was a physical change when entering the everpresent. It made everything more visual which I appreciated.
I loved the explanations of the ritual the hunters went through. I especially found it interesting that Ex didn't feel pain.
There is an uncomfortable moment where a Phi is looking for the baby. Can't find it but she smells her, so proceeds to investigate. I understand, but yikes.
I did get a lot confused with the whole soul catching thing. I assumed that while the soul was in a specific vessel, the body still existed in the physical world, but there was no body. I'm still wondering what happens.
I would've liked a map to follow the story in a better way, and to be able to see where they were while they traveled.
But all in all I loved the story, I have never read anything with inspiration of Tailand mythology, but I'll definitely look it up in the future as well as to follow this author future projects.
