I have finished it but I am currently in the process of solving it.

December 28th, 2024. I read a total of 104 books for 2024. This year overall was better than most on a mental level. For a reading level, it was alright. I lost motivation in february and didn't get it back until June. But... I was pregnant for most of the year. Sooooo... yeah
I might try to do this again next year... but time is short and I'm busy.

Adorable book for children. The kiddos loved it.

Definitely a love hate relationship with this book.
It is not the best, not the worst. It is just some where in between.
It was boring in many parts and amazing in others.

I'm sorry but... I hated this book so much. It took me two months to read this. That's wild to me.

The cover is beautiful and that is what grabbed my attention. The character names are... interesting to say the least. There are wonderful ideas but... for me... I don't think it was well planned out or written. I was also bored because it was rather cheesy and...

Like... sigh it's an adult book but the writing is juvenile.

It does have a targeted audience but I'm just not it.

I debated for a while if it should be 3 stars but I am just going to leave it at 4.
It is a very well written book, very good story but I personally did not feel emotional like others have said. When it came to that deep emotional part, I just felt neutral but that is just who I am in real life. Still a good book to read.

I rather enjoyed this read for class. It provided a different understanding and view of psychopaths and sociopaths.

After reading some of the other reviews, I was hesitant to read this book. In all honesty it is very different from the giver, but it is a good book.
The best way I can tell you how to read this book is to assume it takes place in another village outside of the giver village or just forget about the giver when reading this book. This book revolves around a girl that has a handicap with one of her legs, she experience loss, she grows throughout the story and learns the truth.

It's... not bad. It has good parts and boring parts.
