3.5 great world building and some funny moment but I did not feel that invested in the characters. There was no overall mission or purpose imo
Such an amazing book, with so many amazing and thrilling battle sequences and emotional moments.
I listened this on audiobook and the narrator was absolutely amazing! Such a fun book! I literally laughed so hard when listening to this book. The premise is absurd and the book does not take itself seriously. I didn't know litrpg's could be soo much fun.
4.5
If you are looking for a story with a magic system similar to Mistborn but has the pace of a John Gwynne book, this seems like a great book for you. Excited to read the conclusion.
3.75. First part of the book was amazing, the middle was way too slow and the end was less spectaculair than anticipated. All in all less than I hope for but I will continue this series for sure. Lots of mystery to be uncovered and battle that need to be fought
4.5 stars!
Great book, especially the last 100 pages keep surprising you page after page.
3.5 Stars.
Great to read about a favorite mistborn character again and experience the first Mistborn Era from another perspective but since most events are known it lacks real tension. Still a very enjoyable read.
Great cozy read. A little open ended so we will probably see more books written in this universe
If I could give this book 6 stars I would. Damn, such an amazing book and end to an amazing series. The battles are epic, the characters so well written. I really loved the series.
4.25. Uninteresting / bland start, but keeps getting better and better. Frustrating world that you just had and root for some characters to succeed in their goals while you despise others! On to the second book
The characters were very stiff and mechanically written. Their choices do not always make sense and do not feel well considered and even strange at times. Furthermore, I find it hard to connect with the characters.
The scientific concepts are interesting but even they seem to be a little over the top near the end.
It was also kind of strange that the messages earth had received are then described as a third character observant instead of a message, but that's more of a style complaint.
I hear a lot of awesome things about the second book so maybe somewhere in the future.
Real solid 4.5. Great murder mystery in a beautiful world with an amazing conclusion that ties up everything in a genius way
