An amazing story that had me wrapped up into it. I decided to read this book because I've been rereading or discovering the books I never got to read in high school, and besides 1984 and slaughethouse five, this has to be one of the next big favorites in classics. The only thing I didn't like was the way the author wrote. Sometimes I'd get so confused on the wording of a sentence or even some of the kids dialogue. But besides that it was a great read. I fully believe that if a situation like that were to happen today, I feel it'd be the same. Its just as relevant now as it was then and a book everyone should read and learn from.
I found this book to be I pretty good read. I really enjoyed her story telling and I loved learning about Wanderers race and how everything works in their world. She did an amazing job the aliens and made them seem real.
I think my favorite character through the story was either Jeb or Melanie just because I liked their attetudes and how honest they were throughout the book.
Although the book has some faults, i agree with what others say, their is a a lot of sappy love in this. But other than that i think it was worth the read.
I think the conclusion was a good one as well and i did enjoy the bonus chapter, I was like i wanted to see what happened in the time frame of where that extra chapter takes place and i wont ruin it for ya guys.
This is first review and i hope it helps some people!
This one has to be my favorite book out of the series so far besides The Warlock. I love each character and the development of each one as well. This book still had the same pace maybe a little bit slower than the others but it was a fast read.
An amazing end to an amazing trilogy(real or not real?). I read this the day I got it and couldn't put it down. So much loss and hurt in this story though. I loved the series when I read it earlier this summer and was hooked into the world of Katniss and Panem. It had to be one of the most powerful books i've ever read as well
The people in the book are real and you feel every emotion that Collins puts into each character. My favorite character by far was Finnick, i think he had the greatest character development and i really like him at the end of the series. I literally got really teary eyed the moment he died with all he went through and when he finally got Annie. Definitely one of the saddest moments for me in the book
I think the part i like most is that nobody is really happy in the end, its not a happily ever after. If your life went through that, you would be scared for life as well. She was still terrifed about the world she lived in and wasn't sure about bringing children into it. That's war though, and tragedies happen.
Overall i kinda knew katniss would end up with peeta and what Collins writes on those last few pages really tell you why she chose him. And peeta got his family. Although i liked Gales character more and i wish their was more closure on him.
I loved the twist at the end to of when she killed coin. i knew she was gonna do that! But it was a great twist into the story and i liked that, i hated coin and knew something was up with her.
Overall, i loved this book and the characters in it. The powerful message and tragedies in it. It was a crazy rollarcoaster ride and it was a great run. Collins did a fantastic job on this and i hope they do a good job with the movie as well.
I hope this review was helpful and i hope some things people will agree with me on. I was a bit scattered writing this but still.
This is my first Stephen King novel and i devoured it in a couple of days! I loved this book so much and really felt for all the characters. When a book will bring you through so many emotions and sympathize for characters you know you have something special. I find this book haunting because it is still relevant in the sense of bullying in schools. It has many lessons to be learned(dont pick on the weird kid). I really recommend this book!
I have been on a bit of a spree of John Green books and happened to stumble upon this one. At first glace it took me awhile to buy and read it because I didn't know much about what it was about but gave it a shot in the dark and decided to read it.
This book is a breath of fresh air in its originality and the fact that the characters are slightly different than the other John Green novels. I dare someone to find a book to compare this to and to see if it was as good as this.
Sooo....Will Grayson, Will Grayson is about two different Will Grayson's who have no idea the other exists until they one day meet by accident at a porn shop! (yep you heard me right.). And their lives start to become intertwine and find a bond that cant be broken once they encounter each other. My favorite character would have to be Jane, just cause i fell for her just as well one of the will graysons did, and of course how could i not like Tiny?! Such a loveable character i think everyone could use him in their lives!(TINY COOPER, I APPRECIATE YOU!).
The only thing I disliked was the gloomy will grayson just because he always got on my nerves which every thing he does and couldn't make his mind up on a lot of things until the end. But I still enjoyed his parts in the book. The last thing is I wish the had an extra chapter to tell me what happened after everything! I wanted so much more from the ending but it is satisfying never the less.
so GO BY THIS BOOK! It will make you laugh out loud literally, sad and almost cry at the end. Its a great read!
Its been awhile since I've read this but I may just put a couple sentence's here. Its a very funny and easy read. The plot is good and I really like the writing style but the story sort of drags about half way through and you kind of just want the book to end. Overall though it had a couple of good laughs with Biff, and the first chapter just cracked me up a lot.
