I’ve often thought King creates such flawed, true-to-life characters that I’ll believe whatever situations he puts them in, and these kids vs the clown in the sewer was incredibly tense.

The initial setup seemed so realistic, and vampires (the non-sparkling kind) are the scariest creatures to me.

I read this in one sitting and it scared the heck out of me. I could imagine myself in that situation. I’ve never watched the movie for fear it will ruin the spell of the book
