NOT a sequel to Mistwood! Also considerably more creepy than I expected or enjoyed.

I think it would have been better to just tell the truth & take the consequences.

Just like the rest of the series, which is a compliment. I loved the hostile witness scene. The deleted scenes (which are a new touch) manage to mock not only a great many other writers, but this writer as well.

Some content is not appropriate for all readers. I had to skip several pages, for one reason or another.

July 6, 2012

I was glad I read it, to finish the series, but it wasn't the same as the rest of the series. It was more... mystical, perhaps. At any rate, it was different enough to create a feeling of disorientation for me.

2 1/2 stars.

June 8, 2010

2 1/2 stars. Had some random elements that detracted from the story.

Yet again, all the teasing forshadowing is perfectly clear only in retrospect. The morbid humor is also highly quotable.

3.5 stars.

October 3, 2010

October 1, 2010

Some war scenes are not for all readers.

This is the book I wanted the original EI book to be. Instead of just talking about how important EI is, it actually gives ideas for improving your EI skills.

Ick, ick, ick. And no happy ending, either.

October 14, 2009

I skipped the first story, since I tried that series & didn't care for it, but I liked the other 3 stories. I think Senneth's was much more bare than her novel, though.

November 15, 2009

Some unnecessary swearing, etc. I liked the conclusion. 2 1/2 stars.

July 20, 2008

3.5 stars.

October 12, 2009

Would have gotten 4 stars without the adult content. Hilariously funny.

September 23, 2024

Contains some scenes not appropriate for all readers.

January 3, 2014

A good blend of modern & supernatural.

July 25, 2009

I would have given it 4 stars if the language & teen-sex content had been better.
