Cute, light book. Clever plot. However I did not like the main character at all. Not sure how many times you can catch a guy and not take him in. If she was someone I was around in real life I'd want to shake her til she came to her senses.
Hubby and I listened to this book on the way to and from vacation. It was a good car listen, although it made my hubby laugh so hard that was worried about his driving abilities being compromised. hubby loved the book and while I enjoyed it a lot some of the stories he told were a little offputting to me. Still I love biographical books because they give me an insight into the celebrities' lives and usually end up with me liking the celebrity much more than before. This book didn't disappoint in that aspect.
Great story! I loved the relationship between Eshe and Armand as well as finding out what happened to all the women in Armand's life. Another great addition to the Argeneau story!
I got this book to read the Lynsay Sands story about Tiny meeting his lifemate. It was definitely a short story and didn't have a lot of development, but I still enjoyed reading it and getting to know more about the Argeneau family.
I also read “Kiss and Kill Cupid.” Didn't really care of it all that much, but the story did keep my attention until the end.
Overall not a bad book, but I'm not sure I'd buy it if I had to do over again. Better to borrow.
I wasn't as impressed with this book as I had hoped I would be. I'm still happy I read it, as I'm looking forward to seeing the movie adaptation and I typically prefer to read the books first. But the tone of Julie in this book is a harsh one and it doesn't mesh well with my personal preferences. It was okay. At best.
Meh. A decent read for when you don't want to pay a lot of attention. I am not a fan of Ms. Plum's... she just seems so stupid most of the time. The reader of this audio book was not that great either, sounded like she was speed reading in an odd accent.
This was a surprisingly fun book with likable characters. I really enjoyed following the journey of the story.
Rowling is a great story teller. You can't help but like the main characters and want to know how they are going to make it through the challenges in their story.
Read this after watching the first season of the series based off it on Netflix. The book was a very interesting look into life in prison.
Well written story and interesting characters but felt frustrated at having no clue what was going on overall, even after the story ended. Felt little emotion that I should root for the characters.
Didn't think this was quite as good as The Hunger Games, but still another fascinating, captivating read. There were quite a few plot twists I didn't expect and I really can't wait to read [b:Mockingjay 7260188 Mockingjay (Hunger Games, #3) Suzanne Collins http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1282388315s/7260188.jpg 8812783] when it comes out.
I enjoyed the stories that she writes and her style. I enjoy knitting, but am obviously not an experienced enough knitter to understand all that she writes about. I skimmed the book, reading the interesting personal stories and that was good for me. Maybe in the future, when I've advanced my skill, it would be a better all around read for me.
Probably my least favorite of the series. So much action and I just couldn't get into the Snape story. Still a good wrap up of the series.
I love a good series since it feels comfortable, like hanging out with friends. I enjoyed this book, but missed Tom as a sensible part of the story.
I really feel like this book helped me learn more about myself and the ways I think about love. That, in turn, helped me to be less frustrated when people tried to show me love in other ways, or when I didn't always feel loved. I hope to reread this sometime too.
I enjoyed this book, although I'm not sure quite why. The characters seemed very unrealistic, especially the ending. I'm not one who has to have realistic reads all the time, but the ending was so “that would never happen” that I found myself rolling eyes at points. I suppose that I really like the character of the shop owner, Lydia, and that is what will keep bringing me back to read more about the Good Yarn shop. Plus they are easy reads that don't take too much brain power.
This is one of those books that I wanted to read simply because of how much people talk about it (even today). I finished it this weekend and all I can really say about it, is it's INTENSE. It's a book that needs to be read, but not one that I'd ever want to re-read. A scary look into government control, so well written that at times I would close the book and look around, feeling like I was being watched.
This was different than the other Argeneau books, but just as good. I thought her experiences not knowing how to be a vampire were really comical.
Wonderful ending to the Gregor story. The characters in this tale are so charming it's hard not to love them.
Pretty good writing, fast paced and kept my attention. Was not a fan of the adultery scene. Made me feel unsympathetic. Also struggled with so many loose ends. I like answers. But not a bad book by any means. An interesting story.
