Didn't think this was quite as good as The Hunger Games, but still another fascinating, captivating read. There were quite a few plot twists I didn't expect and I really can't wait to read [b:Mockingjay 7260188 Mockingjay (Hunger Games, #3) Suzanne Collins http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1282388315s/7260188.jpg 8812783] when it comes out.
I got this book to read the Lynsay Sands story about Tiny meeting his lifemate. It was definitely a short story and didn't have a lot of development, but I still enjoyed reading it and getting to know more about the Argeneau family.
I also read “Kiss and Kill Cupid.” Didn't really care of it all that much, but the story did keep my attention until the end.
Overall not a bad book, but I'm not sure I'd buy it if I had to do over again. Better to borrow.
My hubby got me this book for Christmas and I had it read in two days. Another great addition to the Argeneau series. The characters are lovable as ever and, of course, many of the other characters come in to play with this novel as well. I was slightly disappointed with the ending. I don't mind being left hanging (much), but I like to know that the next book is going to answer my questions. This book didn't do that.
I enjoyed this book even more than I thought I would. It was fun reading about Jared's story and I could relate to a lot of what he said, even though I'm just overweight, not morbidly obese. He says this isn't a diet book, and while I can see where it was going with the other ideas, it really seems to serve best to those of us who have struggled with our weight.
I wasn't as impressed with this book as I had hoped I would be. I'm still happy I read it, as I'm looking forward to seeing the movie adaptation and I typically prefer to read the books first. But the tone of Julie in this book is a harsh one and it doesn't mesh well with my personal preferences. It was okay. At best.
I enjoyed the stories that she writes and her style. I enjoy knitting, but am obviously not an experienced enough knitter to understand all that she writes about. I skimmed the book, reading the interesting personal stories and that was good for me. Maybe in the future, when I've advanced my skill, it would be a better all around read for me.
