Love & Ruin by J.A. Owenby. She has done it again. This book grabbed me from the beginning. Owenby makes you feel like you are there. Gemma a small town girl, heads off to college to escape her painful past, with the help of her best friend Ada Lynn. There she meets her roommate, Mac, who is loud,hyper and is ok with the fact that Gemma hides herself behind hats and glasses. Then there is Hendrix, handsome, a singer, and totally falls for Gemma. But, has heartbreak in his past as well. Will Gemma let him tear down the walls she has built up to protect herself? Is Hendrix too good to be true?

In the continuing story of Gemma. Owenby has a way of telling a story that makes you, the reader feel what the characters are going thru. In this 2nd part of the trilogy, you find out even more of the terrible things that Gemma has had to endure, and just what lengths her friends will go thru to help her. Owenby sheds light on an ugly subject without glamorizing it. You need to read these books, you may cry, ok you will cry. But, read them, people need to know that these things go on in our world.

Love &Redemption J A Owenby....book 3 of the trilogy. Man what a ride!!! I couldn't read this book fast enough, but at the same time did not want it to end. Gemma & Hendrix have been thru a lot together. Just when you think that Owenby has tossed them more than they can handle, you just wait. Book 3 is so intense and full of twists. I read thru tears and holding my breath to find out what was going to happen next. Gemma really grew into one amazing young lady. Owenby just keeps getting better. Definitely needs to be on everyone's must read list.

So good!! Quinn and her father leave Philadelphia to start over in a small town.

They get more than they bargained for not all small towns are sleepy some of them are filled with killer clowns.

Toby was always a happy go lucky kind of person. But turns out things may not be just like he remembers them.

He ends up going to stay with his ailing Uncle Hugo( I love Hugo) after several events in Toby's life. Hugo has terminal brain cancer and needs someone to look after him.

While staying with Hugo something happens that test relationships with family and will test Toby's memory all over again.

I really enjoyed this one. Tana French is great at writing mystery.

This book was one of my favorites as preteen. I picked it up from thrift books since it's now out of print. My preteen self is glad I have it, my much older self wonders why I wasted the time rereading it....lol

This book was crazy good. Shows you what hurt people will do to one another. The mother thought she was protecting her daughter and the daughter was just wanting her mother to hurt. It was pretty messed up.

Love & Seduction J A Owenby

Grabs you from the beginning into this steamy, captivating forbidden love story. Which can be read as a stand-a-lone or as part of the Love & Corruption series (highly recommend). But it works on its own.

Claire who is recovering from a crazy and traumatic last year comes to live with Sutton and her husband Pierce for added protection. While there she is told the bodyguards are off limits. Including, Vaughn, who Claire still has feelings for since they first met.

Vaughn comes to Claire's rescue and then thru unforeseen circumstances they end up spending a lot of time alone. Feeling can only be denied for so long.

This story will keep you on the edge of your seat, with the ups and downs and all the drama that unfolds. Owenby weaves a story that builds and keeps you wanting more, with twist and turns, romance and friendship.

This is definitely going on my reread pile. Five star read all the way. Ready for the next one.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! This was so good. It was humorous and suspenseful all in one. They were right it's like vampires meets Steele Magnolias. Read it you won't regret it.

Twisted Truths by Gina Azzi picks up right where Broken Lies leaves off. At the beginning of Twisted Truths Zoe must make some hard decisions. But, instead of facing them with Eli, she tries to face them alone. But, don't count Eli out just yet. Eli and Zoe are great main characters. Don't get me wrong there were times I was mad at both of them for being so stubborn. You will definitely need the tissues for this one. This book is also filled with some great side characters. This duet will not be the last I read by this great author.

Fast paced, sexual tension, heart breaking. Loved this! Gina takes the reader on a emotional journey with Eli and Zoe. Can't wait till the next book comes out to see what happens. What a cliffhanger! What a ride!!

The Essence of You by J A Owenby

***** 5 stars emotional, heart pounding, edge of your seat, mind blowing, couldn't read fast enough. I read this all the way thru in one sitting, then had to go back and read again it was that good. I cried , I laughed, then cried some more. I love Tensley, Owenby writes characters that you can't help but cheer for.

Owenby does a great job of building characters. She makes you feel like they are real people. It was great being back in their world, catching up with their lives. She packs a lot of great reading into a short novella. I don't think anyone would be disappointed. Five star!!

I really enjoyed this series. But this was probably my least favorite of the three.

MM/F romance.

Carl and Rick are a bi couple looking to add a female to their family and to fulfill their dreams. So along come Katie, who answers an ad to supplement the cost of her dream. It turns into much more. I really enjoyed this book. This is the second book that I have read by this author. She does a great job giving the reader and actual story mixed with a good balance of hot sexy time. This book was a good time, with a good story and good characters. Will definitely read more by this author.

Eighteen year old Laine has always had to work hard for everything, a mom who had rather run off with her boyfriend than be a mom to Laine. A “best-friend” that was basically a user. A daddy that wasn't in the picture. So when Laine finds herself in a dangerous situation, there is Nick to the rescue. And of course she has “ daddy issues”.

The smut in this may push some boundaries with daddy little girl play. But, there is an actual plot. I did enjoy this, it's the first book by this author and I will read more by her. The writing is well done, fast paced, holds your attention.

I am loving this series. What a cliffhanger tho.

What's not to love about a reading of a will, an old house and a mystery that keeps you guessing till the end. Couldn't put this one down. Couldn't get to the end fast enough. If it wasn't for work and adulting would have finished it much faster. Definite must read.

This book was so good. Twists and turns. Gripping holds your attention. Couldn't wait to find out what happened,but didn't want to to end.

I really enjoyed this book. Kept me guessing till the end.

Twisted Intentions: Book One J A Owenby

Another five-star. This gripped my from page one. Pierce former bad boy turned bodyguard, is called back to his hometown for personal reasons. There he reconnects with the love.Sutton, that one that got away. She is his next client. Her sister, Claire, has been kidnapped and feared sold into human trafficking. Together they will stop at nothing to bring her back. All while dealing with past issues that once tore them apart. Owenby makes you feel what her characters are feeling, I couldn't read this fast enough. She creates characters you want to know and that you come to care about. Looking forward to what she has in store for us next.

This book is dark disturbing. Twisted,can't put down. Mind blowing. WTF Did I just read. This is pretty messed up stuff. Read it.

A couple and their daughter spending time in a secluded cabin. When a stranger appears and tries to befriend the daughter. Then 3 others come and speak of the apocalypse. The book is suspenseful and has good flow throughout. I did enjoy reading this book just felt it lacking at the end.

While I enjoyed reading this book. I found it to be somewhat predictable.

Ellie Mack typical teenage daughter has boyfriend, getting ready for exams. Struggling a little so mom brings in tutor for Ellie. Tutor was a little strange so after awhile Ellie just too mom she didn't need help anymore.

Ellie turns up missing police seem to think Ellie must have just ran away due to all the stress of being a teenager.

Then Ellie's mom, years later meets a man who has a daughter who looks just like Ellie.

Coincidence?.......
