Heartbroken after losing her daughter and husband in a tragic accident, Julia opens her home as a writer's retreat. But eerie things start happening after the guests arrive. Julia, believes her daughter is just missing, believes the “citings” are Lily her missing daughter. But, not everyone else is so easily convinced. This is my second book I have read by this author and I did enjoy it. I will read more.
What's not to love about a reading of a will, an old house and a mystery that keeps you guessing till the end. Couldn't put this one down. Couldn't get to the end fast enough. If it wasn't for work and adulting would have finished it much faster. Definite must read.
Was just ok. I enjoyed it. Kept my attention good twists. Some animal cruelty could have done without that.
Oh my! What a ride. The first book I didn't get the hype. But oh man! Can't wait to read the third and final book. So good. Mr. Barker great job.
This on was just ok for me. The storyline was good. I listened to this one on audio and the female character's voice was just way overdone, just took me out of the story.
The Allbrights move to Alaska and they are painfully unprepared. After returning from the war (Vietnam) Ernt is full of big dreams and ideas, that never really go as planned. Alaska is full of dreams and dangers. But what happens when the danger is inside your house.
I love this book. It's going to be hard to find a book to top this for me this year. Definitely a 5 star read.
Catherine wakes up one morning to find her husband of 10 years is missing. She must choose to carry on her life with 3 children on her own. I really wanted to like this book.
The story is told from both Catherine and Simon's POV. Was not a fan of Simon at all. When we find out his reasons for leaving, I disliked him even more. He done some pretty awful things in this book.
I really enjoyed this book. It's about a detective, Frank Mackey, whose girlfriend disappears on the night they were suppose to runaway together. He is called back to his hometown and his estranged family when Rosie's remains are found 22 years later. It really kept me guessing till the end. Tana French can really write a good mystery.
This book was great until the the twist at the end and it took a turn which made it more like a 2.5 star book. But goodreads doesn't give half stars so there's that.
Eighteen year old Laine has always had to work hard for everything, a mom who had rather run off with her boyfriend than be a mom to Laine. A “best-friend” that was basically a user. A daddy that wasn't in the picture. So when Laine finds herself in a dangerous situation, there is Nick to the rescue. And of course she has “ daddy issues”.
The smut in this may push some boundaries with daddy little girl play. But, there is an actual plot. I did enjoy this, it's the first book by this author and I will read more by her. The writing is well done, fast paced, holds your attention.
This is the 5th in the Tracy Crosswhite series. We get more of Del, Faz and Kins in this story, which I enjoyed. But this wasn't one of my favorites from this author. Still worth the read.
The Sinner
By Shantel Tessier
5 ABSOLUTLEY TWISTED STARS!!!!
Make sure you read all the TW at the front of the book.
Then hold on for a wild ride.
“You are my treat, little demon.” He kisses the tape that's over my mouth as it they are my lips. “And you will do as I say.”
I VOW, YOU VOW, WE VOW.
As usual Shantel likes to keep us on our guessing what is going to happen next. There are plenty of twists and turns, you will never see the end coming. Sin is in his game, and owned being a Lord. Elli is the perfect FMC. Chef's kiss!!!!
Highest Bidder (Salacious Players Club, #5)
Sara Cate
5⭐️
Daddy Ronan!!!!
Not everyone loves Daddy kink and that's ok, but man on man when it's done well, it is A ok in my book. And Sara Cate done it RIGHT!!!!
Ronan and Daisy, you wouldn't think they would make a great couple with a 35 year age gap, she lives in a van, he is a billionaire, but Sara writes them beautifully.
Sara writes the characters in a way that they are easy to love, and you can begin to see them together and the age gap not matter. The story flows naturally and they both grow and develop and the secrets unfold.
The spice is
Loved every minute of this.
Loved how the author tied up their stories and opened up the possibilities of new ones.
I read this after all the hype. I enjoyed it, but not sure it lives up to all the hype.
Starts out with a serial killer getting killed at the beginning, and team of detectives trying to find his latest victim before its too late.
Meanwhile, throughout the book there are parts of an old diary throughout, that seemed to make the book drag.
Not sure I will continue on with the series.
What a heartbreaking decision Emma had to make. This one will stay with me for a long time.
I have read this book twice now and it gets better each time. It breaks my heart each time. Beautifully told story of heartbreak and impossible choices. I love the support Emma gets from her family. I just love everything about this book.
You Shouldn't Have Come Here
