A very entertaining retelling of ‘The Taming of the Shrew'. While I typically don't enjoy romance books, this was the exception.
Very spooky/forboding, so on par with his other work. Started out exciting and dark, finished exciting and dark.
I live within a few hour drive from Joplin. I was 11 when the tornado hit, I remember sitting on the living room floor, watching the new as the tornado was on the ground.
This book was really well written. I enjoyed this book.
It definitely brought the emotions back from watching it happen.
I read this entire book in one day. I absolutely love this series and these characters, especially Mace and Pen. But I am incredibly disappointed in the ending. I almost regret reading this.
I would have much preferred Kelsea, Mace, Pen and the rest of those in the Keep to have died, instead of Kelsea messi ng with the past and making everything they went through meaningless.
This book has been on my tbr for a long time, and after starting it, I could not put it down. The Queen of The Tearling is exactly the kind of fantasy I love to read, great characters, a fleshed out world and government, and not too much romance. When reading this I immediately loved the characters Lazarus(Mace) & Pen.
This was an awesome read, I got to about page 230 and couldn't put it down, which is pretty rare for me.
If I could rate this higher than 5 stars, I would.
I was able to read this ARC through my job as a librarian. I was very happy to get a first look at another Gayle Forman book, as I have been a fan of hers for many years, and this book did not disappoint! It was a bit strange, but I really enjoyed reading it!
I really cannot praise this series enough! It is truly great. It has fantasy, mystery, romance, enemy to lovers, and epic last stand battles! There is nothing that this series leaves untouched. And as someone who dislikes romance, this has light enough romance that even I enjoy it. I highly recommend this series for any fantasy fan.
This was such a good book! I absolutely loved reading about Thea and her family. The relationship between Thea and Amelia felt realistic, along with Thea's found family!
Deer Run Home was an emotional, vulnerable, and sweet story about Effie, the main character. Written in verse, it takes readers through a rollercoaster of emotions and keeps readers wondering what happened to Effie and what is to come for her.
This was a really good essay about Taylor Swift and how her music, style, and influence has changed and continues to change music of all genres. The perspective Rob Sheffield brings to this book is very interesting, due to his longstanding status as a Swiftie.
If you are a fan of Taylor Swift, or are interested in how her career has changed music, I would highly recommend this book!
I read Comfort and Joy because my mom recommended it to me. I am so glad that I did read it. Comfort and Joy is beautifully written, emotional, and had me guessing throughout the entire book. The ending was perfect and I will defiantly read it again next Christmas!
10/10 will read more of Kristin Hannah's books!
I loved reading this book! I took a Bible as Literature class this semester and this was the required textbook. It was a genuinely interesting book and discussed the literary elements used within the Bible. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the literary elements and construction of the Bible.
The Ghosts of Rose Hill was a beautiful and haunting story set in Prague. The main character, Ilana, is a teen who loves music and and art. When she spends the summer in Prague with her aunt, she meets some interesting characters and finds an old, overgrown, Jewish cemetery.
This book was beautifully written and fun to read!
This was really good.
It wasn't as good as Cruel Beauty tho it was a quick read.
My only complaint is that Ingifex wasn't in it very much.
Crown of Midnight was a great sequel to Throne of Glass!
I was afraid that I wouldn't like this book, as I didn't like A Court of Thorns and Roses sequel and others.
This entire series is a very interesting so far, and I am looking forward to the third book, (which I plan to start tonight!)
The way the relationships between Celaena and Choal and Celaena and Dorian change and grow is incredible. I have to say that I love both Dorian and Choal, but I definitely prefer Choal and Celaena as a couple!
——SPOILER BELOW——
I absolutely SOBBED when Nehemia was murdered, and again when Celaena attacked Choal. It was heartbreaking, the realization that those that had kidnapped Choal weren't going to try to save her, and poor Celaenas reaction.
Awesome. I'm a 16 year old girl and I am homeschooled. I absolutely loved reading this! The art is amazing!
This was a very well written book. I read Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief a few years ago and wasn't impressed. But Magnus Chase was very good, it had good characters and was just a fun read!
After I read Percy Jackson, I wasn't anxious to read another book by Rick Riordan, but I am glad that I did read Magnus Chase.
This was a very interesting and insightful book surrounding multiple cases Anna Motz has encountered throughout her career. Anyone interested in true crime should give this book a try!
