What an amazing summer love story between Elio and Oliver. In the end, maybe too melancholic or sad, but in general I simply loved it. I recommend it to all who loves LGBT romances, this one is one of the best I read so far. So true...
Quite an interesting book written with different style than others. Mysteries, gay and professional accompanist and also some action. Why not to try it? Do it.
This is one of the rare cases when second book in a series is as good as the first one. Already looking forward to the third part coming up next year.
What a finish to this dystopic series by Neal Shusterman. I have never ever thought I can find so many plot twists in one book. Until this one. And it was really great. It will have a special place in my heart and in my bookshelf especially after meeting Neal Shusterman in person during our book convention in Prague. He is simply perfect and Arc of Scythe is such a special series.
What a fantastic book, which mix up LGBT romance, fantasy and a Shadowhunters universe. A perfect reading, so far my favourite Shadowhunters book. I love the idea of travelling all over Europe while on a romantic holiday...
Really good and interesting gay-themed book. I loved also the other stories around, not only the kissing one. David Levithan is just great writer!
Really interesting book of queer stories from Prague giving the readers many different points of view in the queer community. Plus the people from the stories are somehow connected with each other and it's also really good. I can only recommend this book to EVERYBODY, it worth it, definitely...
Absolutely amazing! One of the best books I have ever read. It describes everyday life and how the behaviour of your friends can change it. And also you can learn something from the book. I stongly recommend it to everybody!
This is simply classic and you shouldn't miss it to understand the whole picture of Middle Earth and work of JRR Tolkien. Hobbit is not a book I would love rereading every month, but I am glad I read it and also mostly listened to its audiobook version. As it was for quite a long time on my TBR list.
One of the best xmas books I know... Add fifth star for the xmas mood if you read it during Christmas... :-)
Very good story, seems like an interesting series about time and magic. A little bit of chaos in the acts throughout the book but in general I liked it a lot and I recommend this book to everybody!
If you love Doctor Who, you will definitely love this book too. It is like another episode of the series and a very good one, better than some of the real episodes. It is really terrifying as there are many mutated spiders and mosquitos and it also involves a mystery around the stone circles similar to Stonehenge. And time traveling is there too, and also some creepy project that involves creatures from the space. I think it is enough for everybody. You can't hate this one. Strongly recommended.
The overall rating would be 4,5* as I counted it to 88 % exact as an average of all individual ratings of each story. I loved the idea of all Doctors' stories in one book and all connected by the Christmas theme. Strongly recommended to all Whovians for sure, it's a must read. :-)
The Flare really sucks. Maybe even more after this short 3 page story about Thomas' first memories of it... It fits the story really well. Those 3* are just because it isn't longer :D
In English, this book is just perfect and I have to admit it, it's better than its Czech translation. Mostly because in Czech some wording seems a little bit inappropriate or out of place, but that's just a language barrier combined with certain fields of interest. But I think that it's not a difficult reading in English at all, so feel free to take this as a recommendation.
This heavy contemporary mixed with the LGBT topic was just perfect. So far the best book of 2023. Very emotional and very realistic. And definitely a good example of how difficult the life of gay community was back in early 1990s'. Strongly recommended to everyone!
Nice middle grade fantasy/horror/mystery book with nice main hero and interesting villains. Recommended for all fantasy lovers.
Magical, colourful, playful, amazing, dangerous... I really enjoyed the trip to Caraval and recommend it to everybody! <3
The rating would rather 3,5* / 5*... I just love Jessica Fletcher and this story was like any other usual episode of the series. I can only recommend it to everyone who has Murder, She Wrote also as a guilty pleasure just like me...
Amazing conclusion to the Glamour chronicles. Truely sci-fi in every single page. Who loves Doctor Who, deffinitely will love also Deep Time.
I was a little bit afraid of returning to this series when I read the first four books almost 10 years ago, but catching up with the fifth book felt like I finished the other books just a while ago. Yes, some tiny details got lost in my memory, but the overall story and characters are still there and I really enjoyed being again in this magical world full of historical famous characters and mixture of mythologies. Can't wait to finish the series with book 6 very soon...
Again and again, Chris is doing an amazing job with his books. It took me just a few days to fly through the pages of book number 4 and I am already looking forward the next part. The tension, action and adventure - it is all magical...
This was unexpectedly good. And yet those monochromatic illustrations, it is so nice. I enjoyed the story as well, small Warren trying to take care about the whole hotel Warren and very adventurous small detective story behind it. I would recommend Warren not only to small children but also to those adults who like some good quality stories.
Unbelievably surprising fantasy for everybody, maybe targeted at younger readers. The story is really interesting and stays faithful to the genre of fantasy literature. Nobody would guess it comes from Belarus. Strongly recommended!
Even I gave 5, it is more like 4,5 or 90 %. The story continues in an unexpected way and twists a lot throughout the book. I would deffinitely not expect something like this when I finished third book. And I just can't imagine what comes in the finale. But what I know for sure is that it will be amazing and that we all need it NOW!
