I did like this story, i just wish it would have been scarier. The Winter People is still my favorite from Jennifer McMahon!

This kept me wanting to keep reading, but it literally took forever to get to anything creepy or weird.
I really wish this would have been darker

This started out really slow for me, but the ending definitely made up for it. The last 100 pages really pack a punch

I LOVED this story! It was creepy, hilarious, and witty. How much better could it get?

This was a phenomenal read. I will probably be recommending this book for the rest of my life.

This was so good. Alice Feeney hasn't disappointed me yet

I just love Lisa Jewell. I'm on a mission to read all of her books. This one was good, I wish it was a bit darker.

I loved reading a horror novel set in Kentucky! This had some really spooky scenes in it too!

Wow. This was so good. I loved the suffocating fear and the creepy visuals this book gave me, I also liked the Pet Sematary vibes. This is my favorite Rachel Harrison read so far!

What an excellent novel for being a debut! Marcellus is my favorite character. It was a bit boring in the middle but the ending made up for it.

This might be my favorite Lisa Jewell book so far. Holy shit this was such a good story. I didn't want to stop reading.

It was a little slow in the beginning but the 2nd half of this book made up for it. Lisa Jewell has yet to disappoint me.

I read this really fast. I saw the ending coming with this one, which usually I don't with Reid's work; but as always I had to keep reading.
I love how Iain Reid work always keeps me thinking about what I just read. Now let's see if this movie is better than ‘I'm Thinking of Ending Things'

The ending felt like a fever dream to me. This is my 2nd Rachel Harrison read and I'm quickly becoming a fan.

This was so good. And it's a debut novel?
This was the most interesting haunted house story I've read so far.

I really loved this. I did predict the ending about 30% in but I didn't see the whole twist coming!
Nana was my favorite character!

I definitely didn't see that ending coming. This was a good read, It was a little slow in the middle, but overall I had a good time.

I Loved this one! It was Pet Sematary meets a mystery vibes. This is my second read from Jennifer McMahon and I am falling in love with how she writes such relatable and loveable characters.
I HIGHLY recommend this one, especially if you loved Pet Sematary.

This was most definitely weird. I love the way Sara Gran's writing makes me want to keep reading. I would have liked to read more about the occult and the demonic aspect of the book, but I had a fun time with this one.

I loved this. It was a weird, wonderful mix of women empowerment with some truly terrifying imagery.
Ralph may be my favorite character

This was a great sequel to chasing the Boogeyman. It had some terrifying scenes but it also made me crack up. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

I loved this read, it's just a unique style to the kidnapping/hostage trope

Jennifer Hillier never lets me down. I just had to keep reading!

4.5 Stars. It has its cheesey moments and dialogue but for the most part it was a good action packed thriller.
