Which books feature really good banter, especially with secondary characters?Answer

The back-and-forth that's kinda snarky with an undercurrent of real affection, whether it's romantic in nature or not, and especially when it involves secondary characters, is one of the elements that really makes a book enjoyable for me. Pride and Prejudice is the classic example, and there are many others, like The Princess Bride, or pretty much anything by Alexis Hall. I find there's a correlation between great banter and excellent secondary characters. Some authors excel at this - and since the option of recommending an author is not available, please feel free to add one or two of the very best work! Thank you in advance!!
