This is probably my favourite book in the entire series. The build up, the slow revelation of details, new characters, love, it was great. I still reread extracts from this book time to time. Pure joy.

In the beginning I was worried I wouldn't like this one because it goes from Feyre's POV to a third person narration but I adjusted quickly and Nesta's story was very interesting. I loved how trauma and healing were written. The only thing I would've wanted more of, is more vocalisation of romance between Cassian and Nesta. Because while they do understand each other without words, and aren't lovey-dovey like Feyre and Rhys, as a reader I need more of those glances/touches/words to really feel the connection.
But the book was great, I enjoyed it!

This was not for me. Couldn't finish it. I understand what this book is and I liked some scenes in it, probably the ones that the book was written for, but the rest of it didn't grip my attention. The plot isn't bad, it's simple enough to follow, with enough detail, there is some buildup and tension but some characters' behavior was a touch too erratic and illogical for my liking.

I picked "Bride" to read in between the books of a series, because I needed a fun break. I liked some details about the world, the power dynamic. I enjoyed the writing too, it's different from what I usually read and the choice of words is interesting. I liked the characters, too, even if it was obvious to me from the very beginning what was going to happen, it didn't spoil or make anything worse. It was fun and enticing, the tension building was good too.

Loved the world-building, how characters describe unknown objects with the words at their disposal. This reminded me of Hunger Games books. Very enticing and interesting to read, but I wish there was more detail on what is going on between Cal and Mare, because the tension builds up and instead of a well-deserved "release" there are very few details and sentences, and it makes that particular storyline a little imbalanced, in my opinion. I know romance is not the focus of this book series, but I really needed a few more sentences to feel better what is going on in the characters' heads.
That aside, I was hooked, finished the first book in 3 or 4 days.
