This book was a surprise! I enjoyed it a lot, the plot was great and I was invested in it.
The love triangle was predictable and it was easy to guess who has who right from the beginning. But the plot surprised me a lot, the last few chapters were full of unexpected twists and it was so entertaining! Couldn't put this one down and I loved the very ending of it. I'm excited about the next book.
I had so much fun reading this!
Hunted library, strong heroine, magic, the devil... this story flew by! Couldn't read it fast enough.

After reading The Lie, I knew I had to read The Plan to read Lydia's story. The Plan can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading The Lie too. It is worth it!
Lydia is going through a hard time in her life that makes her question if the professional path she chose is the right one. As a social media influencer, she shares her daily life very publicly. However, now she doesn't feel comfortable sharing so much of herself with the world. She always had other plans for her professional life and she feels this is the time to start pursuing her goals.
Erik used to be a professional football player, that has been working as a bodyguard. He's closed off, strong-willed, and never talks about his past. He has been feeling a little lost after the end of his career. He's not interested in bonding with anyone. When Luke, Lydia's dad, gets in contact with him to be Lydia's bodyguard, he can't say no. But he doesn't know what he got himself into. Lydia is very different from the shallow girl he was expecting her to be.
The grumpy-sunshine vibes are in full effect! The fake-dating aspect also comes into play and I loved it! The chemistry, the sexual tension and the slow burn between these two were very intense. Erik was very broody and quiet but he was a sweetheart with Lydia, except when she started to ask questions about him! The way he supported her and protected her was incredible. Their dynamic was so funny! Lydia kept pushing his buttons and it was hilarious! He never guessed what she would do or ask him next. Lydia was an amazing character: strong, determined, funny, sassy, smart, and with a big heart. It was easy to love her from page one. Erik was also a great character, it just takes a while to get to know him. His backstory was so full of heartbreak and loss. He went through a lot, no wonder he was feeling a little lost. I loved them both! They were perfect for each other. I was screaming when Erik finally lost his iron control and acted on his feelings!
The story developed interestingly, the push and pull, the slow burn, the way their trust in each other increases and their connection builds was beautifully written. Erik resisted... a lot! Which only made their story even more funny and emotional. I couldn't read it fast enough! But I also didn't want it to end. I loved to see Lydia's relationship with her family. They were super supportive and loving. I enjoyed especially her conversations with her dad, loved those moments. I also loved the moments we got with Erik's family. It was wonderful.
There wasn't anything I disliked in this story. Sometimes Lydia was a bit pushy with Erik, but I understood her reasons, and Erik could've been a tiny bit less stubborn and started to open his heart to Lydia sooner. Karla Sorensen has a singular (magical?) way to make you love and root for her characters.
I loved this story. I enjoyed the writing, the backstories, the slow burn, these fantastic characters, and the secondary characters which were very, very promising... Are we getting Ian's book? I'll keep reading Karla Sorensen's books. I'm obsessed with the Washington Wolves world. The Plan is the perfect read if you enjoy emotional fake-dating, grumpy-sunshine, or bodyguard romance.

This book was amazing! I can't even organize my thoughts, because it was so good! Okay, so this is the 2nd book in this trilogy. There's not a lot I can say without spoiling the first book, so I'll keep it vague. I was a little worried about the middle book syndrome, but John Gwynne nailed it! A recap of the first book was included at the beginning of the story. I think that was a nice detail. I wish more fantasy authors did that. The plotline picks up immediately after the events of The Shadow of the Gods.
First of all, I've been obsessed with this world since I read TSotG three months ago. I couldn't wait to read more about it. Second, I'm even more obsessed with it after finishing The Hunger of the Gods. These characters, the tainted, the Gods, the lore, the legends, everything jumps off the page and I felt like I was watching a movie. John Gwynne's action scenes were fantastic. I love the way he writes them. The pacing was great too, even though we have a lot of traveling in it.
The multiple POVs, 2 more than in the first book, worked great together and the character growth was really solid. There was one specific POV that remained similar in both books, but that had mostly to do with that specific character's quest, which didn't really bother me. The found family and values like honor and courage were intertwined in most of the characters' POVs and quests, well except for one of them obviously. I was skeptical about the inclusion of that specific POV, but it worked so well. I was impressed by John Gwynne's skill in making it so interesting and relevant.
The ending kept me on the edge of my seat and I can't wait to read the last book in the trilogy. I'll hate to say goodbye to these characters, though.
Overall, a brilliant epic fantasy sequel.

Faith is the team, Washington Wolves, owner's daughter, and also director of her parents' foundation, Team Sutton. She has one rule: “No Dating Football Players”, she avoids them as much as she can even though she has to work with them in the foundation events.
Dominic is a talented football player known as “Walker the Wild”. He has a very aggressive style on the field and a complicated relationship with the press. But... he is also a very broody, hot, tattooed, troublemaker with a huge chip on his shoulder.
Dominic and Faith meet during Dominic's first day on the team. Let's just say his first day doesn't go that well, but when these two meet sparks are flying! I loved Dominic from chapter one. I knew he was so much more than what he showed and, let me tell you, this guy was unbelievably sweet.
I was rooting for them from the start, the connection between them was so intense. Even though these two had strong personalities and were both stubborn, the chemistry was so amazing they couldn't resist each other much longer. Their story was developed in an interesting way, almost an enemies-to-lovers, then something VERY significant happens and it changes to friends-to-lovers. I can't say much more because I don't want to spoil any detail in this story. Their journey, their friendship, their relationship was really swoon-worthy. They go from amazing chemistry to deep connection in a fantastic way. I loved it! Dominic was so sweet and so open with Faith, and Faith was such a strong, smart, generous character, I couldn't read this book fast enough.
However, I struggled with the conflict. I knew it was coming, I knew what was happening but I didn't want it. It was disappointing that it wasn't solved before that showdown. I wish it could've been handled differently.
Anyway, I loved this one, really enjoyed the writing, loved these characters and I'll definitely read more of Karla Sorensen's books. I recommend this book if you enjoy sports romance, grumpy-sunshine or friends-to-lovers romance.
I loved this book! A grumpy-sunshine PERFECT romance.
Brendan was EVERYTHING. I'm obsessed with him! So hot, swoony and sweet!
At first, I had my doubts about Piper but I ended up loving her very quickly too. Her kindness won me over and I liked her relationship with her sister a lot.
The chemistry and the steamy scenes... PERFECTION. Couldn't stop listening to the audiobook. Loved the setting too.
One of my favorite romances of the year, for sure!
Can't wait for the next book.
I'm not sure about this one. I finished listening to it a few minutes ago and I'm underwhelmed.
Debating a 2-3 star rating.
There were some interesting elements but the MC kept making weird assumptions and for a final girl... she felt a little too trusting. IDK. I need to think about this one.

I had so much fun reading this one! The cast of characters was fantastic! I also enjoyed the quest.
At first, I wasn't exactly enjoying it, even though I was intrigued by it. But after the first few pages, I fell in love with the story and the characters.
Entertaining, with dark elements, a great cast of characters, and an interesting quest. Super enjoyable.
Entertaining and pure enjoyment.
There are some pacing issues with this one, but I enjoyed it a lot anyway.
The atmosphere and the world are amazing. There isn't a lot going on for a while but it kept me guessing. The revelation was very obvious from the start, but I still liked it when it came.
I'll definitely read the next one.
I loved this book! The ending of this trilogy was PERFECT.
The Prison Healer series is now one of my YA favorite series EVER.
This was a very emotional ending. I couldn't put it down! These characters were everything, every single one of them was unique, even the ones that played a smaller role in the story until this book.
Lynette Noni did a great job with this cast of characters. The relationships, the bonding, the redemption arc, the fighting for what they believed in, and for themselves, even when they thought they didn't have any strength left in them... this story was amazing.
I loved the plot, the twists, the action, the themes, the drama, and the writing, everything in this was captivating, engaging, and unforgettable. It was epic.
A top favorite, high stakes YA fantasy!
The most interesting aspect of this story was the setting.
The writing wasn't the best, the plot wasn't cohesive, and until 70% the pacing is super slow. It wasn't very thrilling.
The twists were interesting, specifically one of them, but the plot holes stuck with me. There were a lot of far-fetched and convenient details.
This one wasn't for me.
I'm a huge fan of Dave Grohl. I knew I would enjoy this one, but I was surprised by how much I loved it.
If you're expecting dirty laundry, drama, or huge shocking revelations, this is not it. Also, do not expect much of his time in Nirvana. He joined Nirvana when he was only 21 and was with the band for only 3 years.
I think DG was very respectful of what he could and should share, and really considered the impact that the things he shared would have on the people he mentioned and their families. Even though there's a comment here or there about some stuff, it was all very drama free. That only made me respect him more.
In my opinion, he's crazy talented and incredibly humble. I loved how he shared that sometimes he thinks that his life isn't really his life and he feels like he's just watching it all from above.
Overall, this was pure enjoyment for me.
I didn't have any expectations about this book. I don't think we needed it, but I still enjoyed reading it!
My favorite couples, before reading this book, were Allie and Dean, Garrett and Hannah. It's not a surprise that their stories were my favorites in this book.
It was great to read about these characters again.
Hannah and Garrett's story was my favorite because of his big decision in the end. It felt like a great step forward for Garrett. regarding his abusive father
I loved Dean and Allie's story too.
I think all of the 4 stories felt real and rooted in real-life struggles and issues.
It all was solved too fast ofc, considering the book is short and is focused on the 4 couples.

Lily is a hard-working, very driven beauty YouTuber. She's struggling with her content and she's fighting hard to get more subscribers and fulfill her dreams: getting a palette in collaboration with a great brand and ultimately getting her makeup brand. She's willing to do everything she can, even collaborating with her high school frenemy: Tobin.
Tobin Bui is a very funny, creative, gamer YouTuber. One of his videos went viral and he's struggling with the pressure of posting funny content regularly. On top of that, his parents keep telling him he doesn't have a real job and he should go back to college. When Lily contacts him, out of the blue, and asks him to do a series of videos with her, he doesn't think it'll work. He thinks she'll probably kill him... but he ends up giving in.
I had so much fun while reading this book! I watch YouTube almost every day, mostly beauty and booktube channels and I also love gaming, so I was super excited about Lily and Tobin's romance. It starts slow, but as soon as Lily and Tobin start making videos together... their chemistry is off the charts! I loved these two together, their banter, the way they complement each other, their obvious attraction, they were so, so, so sweet together. I also enjoyed the representation, the details regarding a content creator's work and schedule, the importance of mental health, and how essential it is to stop and take a break.
The conflict, near the end, was a little predictable and I was a little disappointed in Lily's reaction. Not too much, though, considering it made sense for her to react that way, but Tobin was so sweet... I wanted her to react differently. Fortunately, Lily came to her senses very quickly and I loved how she chose to apologize.
Love, Comment, Subscribe was a fun read! It was sweet, cute, entertaining with unique, fantastic characters and steamy moments. A perfect slow burn, frenemies-to-lovers romance. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This was addictive, couldn't stop listening to the audiobook! I needed to know!
The suspense was great, the writing was good and several possibilities came to my mind while listening to the different timelines and the multiple POVs.
The story was interesting and entertaining, there were so many ways it could go, and then when things start to take shape... there was not much logic in this. That's what bothered me most in this story.
Some details didn't make much sense when we finally put the pieces together. So, the ending felt disappointing.
I absolutely loved it!
Aaron and Catalina were amazing together. Their banter, the push and pull, the chemistry... PERFECTION! A fantastic slow-burn romance.

This was an interesting, enjoyable story. More of a SciFi read than a thriller, which wasn't what I expected.
I enjoyed it, even though there was a lot that wasn't explained.
4.5 stars
I get why this is a controversial book, but it worked for me.
The darkness made sense considering everything Pip went through (and was still going through).
I loved this story, the over-the-top storyline, the emotions, the characters, and the mystery.
The mystery was easily guessed, but everything afterward made it worth it.
I'm obsessed with the last line! Loved it!
Not a 5 star for me and that was surprising. I thought this would probably be one of my top 5 of the year and I'm sad it wasn't.
I enjoyed it a lot, it was super entertaining BUT the miscommunication trope is tricky and it annoyed me in a very specific moment here.
Miscommunication isn't blatantly lying. Olive lied to Adam's face when he overheard her admitting she had feelings. That scene was unnecessary, the author could've done it differently. If this was a YA book, I'd get it, it would be typical YA behavior: scared to admit feelings, leading to lying just to save face. But this is an Adult book. So, I was not a fan of that.
Anyway, despite that annoying me and the steamy scenes having a few weird sentences that I didn't quite enjoy and found awkward (it needed a little editing), I was soooo invested in the romance.
Loved the STEM environment and the slow burn. The banter between Olive and Adam was fantastic and they were adorable together.
I'm curious about what AH will write next.

Blindsided is the true definition of enemies-to-lovers, like Montague and Capulet level, because the Addler-Todd feud is just as legendary!
Tate and Maggie have known, and hated, each other since they were kids. Now they are sophomores at Moo U, while Tate is the hot talented hockey player with a very certain bright future in the NHL, Maggie is really smart and is planning big things with her sister for their family farm. The Adler's farm is right next to the Todd's farm and that just keeps the feud very much alive. I found it very funny that both Tate and Maggie hated each other, and each other's families, without really understanding why. Nobody knows exactly how their families feud started, except grandfather Todd and grandfather Adler and they're not sharing that info.
This story made me laugh a lot, Maggie and Tate tactics of sabotaging each other, their banter, how everyone in their families were always willing to participate in their crazy ideas just to get the upper hand provided so many hilarious scenes. My favorite character in this book is definitely Tate. He was amazing! Hot, sexy, funny, smart, very loyal to his family, really hard working and even though he definitely hated the Todds, sometimes he questioned why exactly he was supposed to hate them. I loved Tate! Maggie was also a great character, hot, sexy, funny, really smart, fierce, never backing out of a fight but I had an issue with her plans for her family farm and Adler's farm (not going to be very specific because I don't want to spoil any details). That annoyed me and it kind of bothered me that her plans remained the same even when she was already involved with Tate. Fortunately, that changed a little bit later into the story and Maggie slowly revealed her heart.
The chemistry between Tate and Maggie was perfect and it exploded! These two together almost burned my Kindle! I loved the push and pull between them, loved that we get to know how their families feud started and I wasn't close to guessing that one: totally unexpected and really enjoyable. The ending was flawless and I loved it.
Overall, a very entertaining, steamy, full of banter enemies to lovers romance with amazing characters and perfect chemistry. Strongly recommended to anyone who enjoys a very well written enemies to lovers romance. I'll definitely read the next books in the Moo U series!

Bossy Baller was a very fast entertaining read. Hannah was a runaway bride that needed to escape fast from her fiancée and she ended up hiding in Maverick's truck. Maverick thought he was going to get some time alone on his road trip, when he realized there was a runaway bride hiding on his truck. Maverick and Hannah's chemistry was undeniable but both of them have reasons to not want to get involved. But... will they be able to resist their sizzling attraction to each other?
I loved Maverick and Hannah's characters, their banter, their fears, their hopes and dreams. The way they opened up to each other during their impromptu trip was so amazing. I really liked Colton and Dylan, Mav's best friends, and Kia, Hannah's friend. I'll definitely read Colton's story!
Overall, Bossy Baller was a fun read, I only wish it wasn't so short! A sweet, steamy, fast paced, entertaining romance with great characters.
I would like to thank the author for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The Thursday Murder Club does it again! This was such a fun, cozy read! I love this cast of characters so much.
Elizabeth, Ron, Joyce, and Ibrahim are fantastic characters. They're crazy, witty, and quirky in so many ways! I'm always ready for their next adventure!
I also love Bogdan, Stephen, Donna, and Chris.
A cozy mystery full of twists, surprises, and crazy moments. I loved every second of it!
This was a very informative book.
I enjoyed listening to interesting details about some structures in America (I'm not American, so there's that), not only politic-wise but also educational (the history of SATs, for example).
It ended on a hopeful note, and I appreciated it.
We have so much to do.(...) We have to start now.
Overall, it was a great read.
A cute bodyguard romance.
The royal aspect of the book, the royal neighbors, was interesting and intriguing but I don't think it added anything special or different to the story.
Piper was an introvert, almost a hermit, she had a romance podcast (loved that) and she loved reading. I liked her as a character. The struggles concerning mental health and her mom's neurological issues added a more real feel to this book.
I didn't connect much with Harrison. Didn't quite feel the chemistry between them. The steam scenes were ok. I enjoyed the writing. I just wasn't very invested in these characters and their relationship.
Overall, it was an entertaining read. Not very memorable though.
