Guilty as Sin is the second book in the Sin trilogy and I'm so addicted to this feud: the stuff of legends indeed!
The story picks up right after the Richer than Sin cliffhanger and it never slows down! There's so much drama, passion, lust, love, heartache, Guilty as Sin is a very emotional roller coaster and I loved every second of it.
The storyline is wonderfully written, it switches back and forth between past and present, the transitions are perfectly done and the characters... are absolutely amazing. I think Meghan has a true gift for storytelling and for writing such rich, wonderful characters, there's so many characters I love to pieces, no matter their last name, like Whitney, Lincoln, McKinley, aunt Jackie, Cricket and Hunter, Magnus and Commodore, and a few others I absolutely hate like Karma, Harrison, Lincoln's mom and Ricky. All of these characters are truly remarkable and engaging and all of them play a role in this forbidden romance.
Guilty as Sin is a riveting, addictive, intense, unpredictable tale of a legendary feud and an epic second chance love story and you definitely can't miss this series. Oh... and there's a dramatic cliffhanger that left me desperate for the next book in the Sin trilogy: Reveling in Sin.
I loved this!
I haven't had any luck lately with dark romances. I was thinking maybe this subgenre doesn't work for me anymore but I'm so happy Danielle Lori proved me wrong.
The chemistry between Nico and Elena was amazing! The sexual tension was pure perfection in the story. These two were fire together! Nico was a fantastic hero, Elena was great too even though I think she didn't quite reach her full character growth potential. I loved the way Elena stood up to Nico. I enjoyed the writing a lot and I'll definitely continue to read this series.
The only thing that didn't quite work for me was the pacing. A little too slow until 50%ish, even though I ended up enjoying the slow burn.
I loved this one! The tryouts are killing me, I'm rooting for everyone... it's hard!
I love these characters and the art style is so freaking cute.
Also, the slow burn is REAL.
Love how Nicholas interacts with Seiji, it cracks me up.

Aurora's End was the first book I read in 2022. I was excited to read this one because I loved the first two books in this trilogy. It was a roller-coaster! I can't say much about it because I don't want to spoil it, so I'll try to keep it vague and brief.
The pacing was insane but some of the plot devices used to move the story further weren't my favorites. Specifically, because of that, the first half of the book felt a little disjointed. Still, I couldn't put it down and I enjoyed some of the storylines and moments. Especially Tyler's, which was kind of surprising to me. The character growth that Tyler and Zila go through was very well done. Tyler's POV was my favorite in this story.
The ending bothered me. A lot of YA books end with this trope and, even though, I enjoyed it at times, I just don't think it makes ANY sense in this book. I'm sad. Some of the choices made didn't make sense in my opinion, considering everything we were led to believe in the previous books. Some of it felt convenient. And I wanted so much more for the last book in the trilogy and these characters we love so dearly. Regardless, I love Squad 312 and I'll keep loving these characters.
Overall, despite everything I said and I'm definitely in the minority, it was still enjoyable. I liked the epilogue a lot. I only wish I loved Aurora's End as much as I loved books 1 and 2.
Whoa, I'm obsessed with this series. I really enjoyed this one. This world is absolutely amazing!

First of all, I love the title of this book but what really got my attention was the blurb. I mean who doesn't love a forbidden romance (almost second chance romance too)?
Adele hasn't been home for seven long years, after a very uncomfortable shirt off show down embarrassment she never came back, but now she's finally driving home for her dad's wedding and she'll be staying at Pete's house. Pete... her first crush, her first love, her father's former employee, current business partner, the main reason she had to leave.
Pete is 15 years older than Adele but he's still holding a grudge after the way Adele had to leave. 7 years later, his business partner is getting married and suddenly he has to play host to Adele since she's staying in his guest room, they haven't spoken since she left and to say that things are awkward is an understatement.
Honestly, I was hooked pretty fast and I read It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time in one sitting, Kylie Scott is an amazing story teller and her stories are so well written, everything just flows amazingly. I love Adele, her personality and her dialogues/monologues are absolutely hilarious, she's a very strong heroine, she's funny, holds her own and she's so open with Pete, it's almost disarming and refreshing at the same time. She's definitely the star of this romance! I also loved their chemistry and the fact that Adele had a backbone, she drove Pete crazy and I loved it! The secondary characters were also great, especially her dad's fiancée but I did struggle a little with Pete. I get that he was broken, that he had issues, I even understand his background, yet he didn't won me over, not completely. Sometimes, he just didn't act very mature. Still, I really enjoyed this story. Definitely, not my favorite hero but Adele... Adele is gold! A fun, sexy, beautifully written forbidden romance, with plenty of chemistry, funny moments and fabulous banter.
A solid, fun read. I think I might enjoy this one more if I read it before The Lie and The Plan (Allie and Luke's daughters' books). But I had fun reading Allie and Luke's story.
Their chemistry was fantastic, their emotional connection was very palpable and I loved Allie's relationship with Faith.
Interested in reading the next books in this series.
I loved this story! I finished it so fast that I reread it immediately after finishing it. The art style is amazing and I'm already in love with Nicholas. Can't wait to see where the story's headed after that ending.

Not a fan of this one. The MMA world described in it was cool and interesting. I didn't really care about the romance between Shane and Brooklyn... so it's safe to say this wasn't for me.
This short story broke my heart in a million pieces. And it was so worth it. It was beautifully written. Highly recommended.
I finally read Darkdawn and I loved EVERY SINGLE FUCKING WORD.
This book is everything, I was biting my nails, laughing, smiling and SO SO SO scared of what was coming. And then I cried, a lot. This was FUCKING PERFECT.
Thank you Jay Kristoff, this series will forever live in my heart. ❤️❤️❤️
Pet Sematary was very, very creepy. That ending... whoa. It freaked me out.
It's a typical SK's book: there are a lot of descriptions and it's slow-paced, which didn't bother me. I think it did wonders to set the creepy vibes.

The first chapters were a lot. Lengthy info dumping, I felt like I was thrown into a dark, creepy world school with a blindfold. I think it would make more sense if the book started at their first year, because the readers would be learning about the school along with El instead of getting so many lengthy info dumping randomly.
I started to enjoy the book when El's interactions with Orion were more frequent. The sort of frenemies relationship they had was great and I really liked it.
El's somewhat friendship/alliance with Adhya and Liu was another entertaining aspect of the story.
The creepy, dark school setting was amazing and complex.
Additionally, after inserting so many diverse characters and enclaves, it's very underwhelming how there was little effort to flesh out the multicultural characters and/or aspects. And there were a few paragraphs that definitely made me uncomfortable: the dreadlocks paragraph which in my opinion didn't add anything to the plot or the world building and another paragraph about an Arabic worksheet that was tone deaf to the core.
I was not a fan of the conversational style of writing, all that inner monologue/narration filled with random information kept distracting me from what was going on. In spite of that, the ending was very intriguing and I'm tempted to continue the series.

Erik is the second book in the Arizona Vengeance series, a second chance romance between a flight attendant and a pro hockey player, even though there's a little detail about this “second” chance (no, I'm not going to spoil it!)...
Erik is a player, not just a hockey player, but a real player. He is the true definition of a ladies man, the puck bunnies love him and he never goes home alone, well at least until Blue...
Blue is a sweet flight attendant, she used to be a party girl but she's changed and had to take on a lot of responsibility on her shoulders. The last thing she needs is a serial dater like Erik trying to charm her...
Erik and Blue's story is entertaining, their chemistry is amazing, I really liked how Blue kept ignoring Erik at first (there were some hilarious moments), their story is quite steamy but what I really loved about this book was the moments when the team bonded. Sawyer Bennett thrives on writing about hockey players, the game, the sense of loyalty between teammates, it's absolutely amazing and I'm a huge hockey fan so I was definitely engaged in their story. Also, Erik surprised me a lot, I was kind of expecting him to be a little douchier and his behavior was refreshing. The secondary characters were amazing! I loved Legend, Dax, Billy, Pepper (I have high hopes for Pepper) and Tacker... wow Tacker... I can't wait for Tacker's story! The only reason I'm not rating this book with 5 stars is because I felt that I was a little more interested in what was going on with Legend, Pepper and Tacker (I think I have a crush on Tacker!) than with Erik and Blue's relationship. Recommended to anyone who loves a steamy hockey romance.
The banter between these two is AMAZING! Great characters, a crazy family, lots of funny moments, steamy scenes, so much chemistry... A part of the final “conflict” annoyed me a little but it was a solid 4 stars in my opinion.
I love this one! It was so, so, so good! Loved the world, loved the characters, super entertaining, sweet, and charming read.
What I didn't like is the fact Morrigan was kept in the dark for way too long. It annoyed me at times.
Overall, a very solid, strong beginning for a series that I want to continue reading.
If I rated this based on emotions, this would be a 5 star. I sobbed during some scenes of this book. But there were a few things that didn't exactly work for me.
What I liked:
- Aelin and Fenrys' bond and Aelin's storyline in the first part of the book;
- The characters;
- “You do not yield”;
- Manon/Abraxos and the Thirteen (Manon's storyline was my favorite);
- The strong relationships between characters, the friendships, loyalties, and the emotional scenes regarding sacrifices and fighting for a better world tugged at my heartstrings;
- the much darker/bloody vibe in this book.
What I didn't like:
- it was too long;
- the trope typically used in YA (I have no tolerance towards this trope anymore and I disliked it even more here with the twist that was added to it);
- Dorian tricking Maeve... REALLY? She overpowers everyone easily and we're supposed to believe Dorian tricked her... Ok... and he gets the chance to kill her but doesn't take it? And ALSO Erawan didn't detect him? None of this made sense
- Aedion (so many stupid decisions!).
Overall, I enjoyed this book a lot. It was an emotional rollercoaster because I was SO invested in these characters (hence the scenes where I cried). A good conclusion to the TOG series.
This one was another great slow-burn romance.
Jasmine was an amazing character, I loved her fierceness! It took me a little while to warm up to Ivan, but I was head over heels for him by the end of the book. I was obsessed with the ice skating world.
I wish we got more of Ivan and Jaz as a couple and I wanted more scenes in competitions too.
Overall, it was a very entertaining, emotional, sweet romance with two of the most stubborn and fierce characters ever.
The Wall of Winnipeg and Me is still my favorite MZ's romance, though.
Whoa, this series is really surprising me. The political intrigue and the scheming was off the charts in The Wicked King. I couldn't put it down! And that ending... SCREAMS!
Well, I hope the solution to the situation Jude's in by the end of this book isn't what I think it is because she's not a dumb character and THAT would make her dumb.
Off to read The Queen of Nothing.
Loved it! Can't believe it took me this long to start this series. Amazing worldbuilding!
