For someone who was so educated Easy sure is stupid whose morals bends whenever she gets dicked down. Forgetting her own families criminal past she simply keeps running off acting shocked her insane husband does insane things despite watching him cut a mans head off the first day. But you know... dick. The longer this story went on, the more she annoyed me.
I was also lost sometimes as I feel the author may have been tying up loose ends to the first book which meant she kept introducing irrelevant characters which may make more sense for those who read the initial book.
I loved Angel but there's something clearly wrong with me, I just felt sometimes he deserved a bit more... honesty during the later end of the book as he was always honest with her despite trying to screw her out of his system. How do you run from the frying pan straight into another fire Easy? Huh? Dick made her stupid, but good dick will do that.
I first started reading this and deleted it from my kindle at page 6 because I hate the racist white man and black woman trope so much. However, having now inhaled and adored two books by Keta Kendric I quickly became a huge fan of her writing and caught a case of fomo. I went to reviews to see others who shared my concerns but their advice was “trust the process” so I did. Whew I am so glad I did. It's not what I thought at all. I read this so fast and I'm about to inhale book 2 to see where this ends.
Keta Kendric has never let me down. This is such an exciting, dark and sexy read. Go for it.
Wow. Just wow. This book had everything: suspense, thriller, action, lust, emotion, even humour, and it all came together seamlessly. It was beautifully written, and I could not put it down. I read so fast at times, desperate to find out what happened next and never wanting the story to end. I'm already planning out the movie adaptation and who'd play Severe. I just... wow.
I was so impressed with how Keta Kendric manages to elicit such empathy for Severe, considering the absolute nightmares he's capable of inflicting upon people with relish. I loved reading how both characters adapt to being thrust into each other's lives and surprisingly find commonality; it was so enjoyable. I needed more, and luckily there are bonus chapters available to download, which I'm doing now. Please read this book. You won't regret it.
Update: I read this on kindle and got worried I'd lose access to it so purchased the physical copy which just arrived. I. Am. Obsessed.

I guessed the plot by Chapter 18 but enjoyed the story nonetheless. I found two characters particularly annoying but that fit their characters and it took nothing away from the story. There was a twist I did not see coming which I welcomed.
I know it seems I did not enjoy this book however I did. I got exactly what I wanted, a sometimes claustrophobic, survival thriller. If you're not used to reading this sort of premise you may get more out of it. I just wished there were more twists and that I did not guess the entire plot so early.
I couldn't put this one down. I started this book late at night and when I woke up at 7 am I immediately reached for my Kindle to finish it.
I was first introduced to the Bloodmoon Pack while reading Beast by Reana Malori and instantly was charmed by all the characters involved especially the glimpse we got of the pack members. This story is so much fun. I couldn't wait to see what the outcome was going to happen and the tension of being on the run & finding your mate was palpable.I'm about to read Alphas Rise because I clearly can't get enough of the Bloodmoon Pack.
I really enjoyed the dynamics between Tobias, Romi and Nathan they had me cackling at times. They were all stubborn and hot-headed and it was a pleasure to watch those dynamics change often leading to some tender moments between Romi and Nathan who is struggling to accept the role he plays in an Alpha Triad.
I was a fan of the previous books concerning the Bloodmoon Pack and inhaled all 3 books.
This book has a bit of everything which I wasn't expecting as a newbie to any romance genre other than the occasional comedy romance. From the fast pace thrilling moments to the touching moments I had a wild time.
I was weary about reading this novel because I do not enjoy books about child abuse and judging by the reviews this has disturbing child content. However, this wasn't as creepy and disturbing as reviews promised I'm afraid. It's moreover a story of childhood friendships and stalking.
I very much enjoyed the endings of each chapter and was left “ooohing” and “ahhing” a few times. It took me reading 1/3 of the book to get into it. Not a bad read, but nowhere as creepy as promised or maybe I'm just immune as I don't find books scary but will never give up looking.
3.5 stars.
I don't really like romance. In real life, in movies or in books, I just can't. I gag. So tell me why whilst reading this book I was giggling like a teen with a crush? Kicking my legs back and forth and squealing in delight? Tee hee'ing at the spice I did not expect because I don't do romance. Developing a mini crush on Red because he's my type? Tell me why?
I loved this book. I loved the representation. I loved everything and seeing as I went into this book quite leery I am very surprised to find I do like spice, I do like romance with humour and I will be reading the other two books in this series as I really want to read more about Chloe's sisters.
I'm off to look for some dark romance because I know I'll definitely roll that way too.
Wow.
What a stunning debut. I am so excited this book is going to be a series. I didn't get bored once, not once. I wanted to know all the backstories of each character and discover the dynamics between them all, even the more unpleasant characters were interesting.
The switch between characters (all of who have secrets which propel the story) was seamless and the story flowed easily. I only put it down over the few days it took to read because life got in the way otherwise it would have been a one-sit reading.
I await the sequel and will be preordering! I can't wait to read more from S.A. Harian. Read this.
I've noticed that micro-stories can be a bit hit-or-miss. Sometimes they're so short that I struggle to understand the context, which can leave me feeling a bit silly. However, Jeremy has a way with words that is truly beautiful and engaging. His stories pull you in from the very beginning.
This collection of mixed-genre stories is a quick read, and I enjoyed every single one of them. I highly recommend picking it up - you won't regret it!
This was... not good. I hate leaving 1-star reviews but this was hard to get through. The only reason I finished it is because there are often 16 lines of text on a page, even then time dragged.
I get what the author was going for, and I am accustomed to reading different writing styles but this book seemed a mess. Not much direction, not many laughs. Where was the humour we were promised? I laughed 5 times. 5 short abrupt laughs that didn't linger. I counted.
The story would tease you with storylines that went nowhere.
I'm actually quite pissed off I stuck with this book. I got it. I just didn't like it.
Customer: I've been using the library a lot in the last six months to take out books about losing weight...You should, too!
Customer: Hi, I'm looking for a bookshop that sells antique door handles.
I enjoyed this bite-sized book as much as the first. A good chuckle while drinking my latte. People are hilariously weird...
In my opinion, the book was okay. Though it did get better as I kept reading, I was expecting more considering the number of authors who took part in writing it.
Part 4 had some really impressive stories, but there were also quite a few that didn't quite meet my expectations. The story on race and the culture of hookup apps left me gagged and gooped. Nevertheless, there were a handful of standout stories that left me craving more from those authors just not enough to warrant more than a 2.5-star review rounded up to 3 because the book cover is sexy.
