The book was really a client Stampede. It was so interesting. Actually when I read books for self-improvement and business kinds of stuff will take more time to complete as the pace will be slow but this was totally a different one with the personal stories and their client stories and how to build your business and earn profits whether the economy is good or bad. I loved the way the author sold her house during the 2008 crisis. The ideas and each thing mentioned by other was valuable and true. I literally felt awestruck because the reality is some people say what is needed in a straightforward manner. I loved the way each chapter was explained and the way it was narrated, so simple but powerful.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I was reading it very slowly and enjoyed each chapter. The Love (try) angle story of Ayesha, Viren, and Abhi. The way each chapter moves and the confusion of Ayesha, her decision, and the last chapter which went in a cool way was really good. The story is narrated from the side of different characters in each chapter Ayesha, Abhi, and Viren. I loved other characters of the story too Gayu, Ketaki, Sneha, Sharad, Nalini... It is a happy and enjoyable light read and sure recommend it for you all.
Ayesha Moved from Chandigarh to Mumbai. She is a good debater. She meets her neighbor Viren who is a UPSC aspirant who helps her in a lot of ways and solaces her. On the other hand, she had met Abhi in railway station and he was so rude and she met him in her college and he was her senior and things transpired well between them soon. Ayesha had a crush on both and she can't decide or choose between two but she needs to make a choice.
Read to know what happened and who Ayesha chose? and what happened later?
The story is written in simple language and loved the narration.
The book is about finding people of different virtues to be part of his league and how he meets different people and how we convince the people to be part of “The Monoplists”. I wish to read the known Unknown and upcoming series of the book to know what happened in the life of Stalker and how he became a sinner, his motive and backstory.
The book is short and the narration was so good and simple. What are the Seven deadly sins how he gonna use the people with the virtues is making me excited for the next read. The book is quite different and intriguing.
This a book to read to know the sufferings and struggles that are undergone by many human beings who are different and wish to have their own identity and societal acceptance. The majority always try to suppress the rights that are available to them.
This is the story of Sane and Sunny and how they created their own identity and acceptance in society. Sane is a eunuch and Sunny is a prostitute. I loved the way they think and the thoughts that made them follow and reach what they want. The crowd will not accept unless we are successful and follow us later.
I loved the sentence “ I look forward to the strong words with feelings day when mankind identifies everyone as humans”. There are a lot of lines like this that will touch us. Kudos to the author for such a short read with a good story line that makes us understand and undergo the feelings and emotions along with the characters.
The book had done a great job by explaining the three different personalities their goal, their thought process, and their struggle. This book has the part where they struggled a lot. I love all three of them and respect them for what they are.
They have inspired many. Swami Vivekandha was a visionary monk who hated how people misused the religion in many forms and started to make everyone understand the core concept and brought such fame for India through his speech. Even a small kid knows how he started the Chicago speech as we all studied it in our schools. I have not read a biography of Gandhi, this book inspired me to know more about all of them. I love Netaji more than anyone else from childhood and I really admire his willpower and determination.
There are many who just try to find some fault in any of the leaders and try to showcase that alone than seeing what are the good deeds they did and how they influenced and changed many lives. There are many leaders who had different ideologies with which they worked for the same goal. Try to know more about them before deciding on the words said by anyone. Try to know more using various resources available before coming to an opinion.
The above paragraph is also mentioned by the author and I really appreciate him for saying this. The book really did the job and adding more biographies and history books to my Tbr.
This is a short and inspiring read...
The story is really so super and I loved it and completed 300+ pages book in 2 days. The story went well with explaining from the side of Itisha and Abhimanyu. The flashback was also so good and I love the way the story was narrated and the way it moved. The author have mentioned the book series is based on some true events.
There are a lot of People like Abhi who cannot express their feelings in words but make them understand through actions. Amisha and Avynash was so good friends. I loved their total friends gang. Abhi's childhood not good because his mother left his family he hated her as well as yearned for love. Without knowing the other side of the story he made his life so restricted without any feelings for anyone because of that event. You can misunderstand people without knowing two side of the story, so try to hear the both sides.
The story was overall good and I wish to read other book in the series.
The Girl in the Glass Case is a book with a lot of twists and turns and I wish I don't give any spoilers. There are two serial killers in the story. The one wanted fame whereas the other wanted a seven-day redemption before she reunited with her mother in heaven.
I really felt some sympathy and pity for the serial killers. They had some childhood traumas which made them do such things. All are born innocent but their circumstances and people around them are affecting positively and negatively in their life which moulds them into the person they are today.
I loved all the characters Simone, Zoya, Irshad, Pius, Nalini, Karan, Ranveer.
I really hated Anushka for mocking Karan for the condition he has and cheating him when she understood and married him.
Irshad is the superintendent of Police who is trying to find the serial killer Clipper who he cannot fid for 9 years, Whereas a new serial killer Doll Maker kills the kids and showcases them in a glass class like a beautiful doll.
I laughed at how Irshad thought of error 404 and Pius was thinking and doing it in an undercover operation.
Simone and Zoya are ASP, DSP who are handling the Doll Maker case and I loved the ladies in charge who was in contrast and worked together and got the culprit behind.
I wished the ending could have been extended to a few pages where Irshad knows about what happened inside the bunker and crypt.
I recently finished reading this amazing biography written by Farrukh Dhondy. Fragments Against My Ruins, the name tells a story in itself. Every chapter inside this book is a unique tale. Obsessing over such biographies. All thanks to My Secret Bookshelf book club. Such an amazing collection lined up here.
This is a short crime thriller. There is a serial killer who calls himself Picasso, because of the childhood trauma he turned into an evil man. Someone should find the serial killer who is doing a clean murder without any way to find him but there is the Senior Police Officer Angad Rane who can find the culprit with a small clue he gets. There was 2 row of murder which increased the pressure to find this madman.
I wish to read the next book in the series. The story is well crafted and had a lot of events within 58 pages. If you are a fan of crime series, you will love it for sure.
Our mind can be our biggest enemy sometimes. We may not know why we decided something and why we regret about it later. That is the story of Rahul and Paromita. They are married couple one who is a technocrat and artist and the another one is Doctor and part of empowering women. An Marriage, affair and friendship all were narrated well. The story has covered various complicated topics. I really liked Paro and the way her character was narrated. Suroma was also different one who know what is she is doing and she is clear about it.
People only thing from their side and when they do it, it is right. when it is done by other gender it is wrong. The characters were breaking the societal norms and trying to lead the life in a way they want. When things start changing everything will not be same as before.
The story was narrated so well and there were lot of things covered in this short book. I have read many books of the author and I loved this too. If you want to try a different read this is for you.
The book has all the basic concepts to improve your personal finance. First, we should save, and then we should invest. Before investing we should know the basic terms used and how to calculate the risk and save based on the goals. Plan each and every goal whether short-term or long-term.
The book was like revisiting the concepts I have learned. The new thing I have learned was more information about different types of insurance and loans. Whether we earn 5k or 50k we all need to take care of our personal finance so that we can plan for future needs.
The author has explained each and every concept so well from the emergency fund, taking insurance, investing in mutual funds, types of mutual funds, good loans, bad loans, real estate, will, investing in stocks, how to evaluate and select investments.
Start saving for retirement when your start earning, don't delay as there are a lot of responsibilities coming like saving for marriage, children's education, and a lot more. Try to make money work for you when you sleep.
Don't forget to take care of your health so that you won't spend all you saved on health later...
Finally done with this short read. Life in the clock tower valley was a great read and I'll recommend it to read at leisure. The author has sarcastically pointed out many struggles of people in J&K.
Pitching is a bit slow but it is not a bore. The narration style is perfect. It gives you a better insight of lives and livelihoods in the disputed land of Srinagar. Every story in the book has a severe ending, fulfilled or not.
The book is a collection of short stories. There are stories without endings and some were so emotional like the story graduation day and the story Mohit and Rohan. This is a short book with some good stories with varied emotions and I enjoyed the way each story is narrated. It was so simple and well written, a perfect book for beginners.
As mentioned in the title. Each story is a slice of life. This has lockdown miseries, love, affection, betrayal, humor. When it is a slice of life, don't expect an ending.
The story is a crime thriller. We cannot expect who is the killer till the last few chapters and the ending whether the culprit is got or not is in our imagination. I wished to have a friend like Sam who was such a motivator and helped his friend Roger to achieve what he is now. People should not forget what they did, and how they came to the position and who helped them. Roger is a lead singer and owner of the band Volt in Goa. There was a shootout in which Roger, Zoey and Dev were shooted by a paid shooter and our ACP Rathore is trying to find who is behind this. The way the murderer distracted the case and projected some other people may be the killer was well planned.
This was an interesting read with back and forth current and flashbacks and the narration were so lucid that I suggest it to crime thriller fans.
The book has ten horror short stories. As am a horror fan, I loved all the stories. Some stories make me frightened and so chilling and had the hangover with stories for a long time.
The cover of book is really revealing the horror stories in the book. The way each short story was narrated was so good and made cling to the story...
I do recommend it for horror lovers...
The book has collection of stories and poems that reflect the real life emotions and how each face and tackle their problems in real life. The stories really make you feel and live in the moments with the characters. The poems can make you feel the emotions in a different way.
The book cover is wonderful and as per the book name and stories in it. The name is so apt as the poems and stories are like conversation with oneself and different people at differ times. The chapter where the conversation between Gods and the person meant so true. Splinters were the child and the person speaks. The poems are also so good and meaningful.
I loved the way each content was written. It was in very simple way and I enjoyed reading it. I liked the Love Poem and Splinters.
Spirit of Entrepreneurship is almost like a biography with his personal experience and the path he travelled, the failures, success, hard work are explained so well for us to learn how an entrepreneur is formed and what are the difficulties he/she face.
You will get inspired by reading the book. “Risk and reward are two sides of a coin, Reward follows for those who take the risk,” said the author is so true.
There will be failures but don't lose hope. Find your niche and work hard you will be a successful entrepreneur after a lot of struggles.
Taking the first step is more important. I recommend it to people who wish to get the motivation to start their entrepreneurial journey.
Reading a novel that is not only romantic but creates hope, generates positivity and makes you feel lite and believe in love and how powerful it is to change peoples lives. I loved this interesting love story of Shanaya and Siddharth. How love blossomed between them after their arranged marriage. Siddhart was broke and a depressed man after his lady love married someone whom her father chose for her. On the other hand Sid thought to commit suicide but he have not taken the extreme step. He married the innocent girl Shanaya who didn't know what was happening inside him. He still loves and has feelings for Mishti, his ex. When Shanaya comes to know about this she doesn't move away, she was fighting for herself and their relationship to prove to him that when two people love each other they will fight for it
I loved the few lines in the book most and they are - “Love is all about happiness... It is the sunshine that creates an eternal feeling that lets you grow, that lets you reach the stars and touch the skies. It is the driving force that pushes you into darkness and gloom, then it was never love in the first place”. “Love doesn't let one falter in life”
Overall I loved the story and the style of writing. Shanaya was a strong girl and I loved her flashbacks and how strong she was in each part of her life, never giving up to fate.
This is a short read that gives you a lot of energy and positivity. It has 111 quotes. Each quote is so good and I like the one with ‘some people are carbon dioxide...' and ‘Beware of the books. They are the swords that can cut biases... They can renew your mind, rejuvenate...' We should understand our worth and love ourselves and know we are unique and we have our own abilities to make our dream come true.
I hope you should read it so that you can get some energy to keep going when you lose motivation.
People who have everything have something missing in their love some knows and some doesn't find it out. I loved the character Kabir and Anamika and the backstory was so good. The backstory of Anamika really makes us feel bitter. The way Vishal and Yamini act was predictable while the beginning of the narration itself. Yamini said was so right, People think materialistic things give happiness and run the race towards getting more and more money. Love, care, attention and spending time with the people around us give us peace and happiness than anything.
The story begins with Kabir reaching the monastery and describing the story of why he had come here in search of Anamika. Read to know their first meet and their story, whether they will unite back.
The writing was so lucid and the book is a light read and you will surely be stuck up with the characters and story for a long time and will travel along with them.
I am a web developer and I loved this book as it is very short and useful for job interviews.
The book is more about the topics in a short and crisp way.
it has 7 chapters with important topics in question-answer form with possible questions to be asked in the interview.
This is for people who know selenium and mostly likely questions to be asked in the interview.
This is like a recap on all topics in question-and-answer format.
The 10 empires that is right mindset, heartset, social set, financial set, professional set, family set, health set, personal set, spiritual and Philanthropic set. These when paid attention to and worked on will help you to fulfill your life in all the ways. A wonderful book which has everything one needs to better himself and the writing is immaculate and the book is easy to understand with a lot of knowledge
A perfect mixture of suspense and thriller. Kept me hooked up until the last page of the book. Rutna goes to a massage parlor to get a massage for her back pain as recommended by her husband. She feels hallucinations after this. To know what happens next grab this wonderful book!
The story is something different for me. Mira is a different person who gave priority to her and has taken up the words said by her teacher and followed it seriously all her life. I loved her sister Avni, husband Kabir. Vansh jealousy made him do many things. If we think from Vansh's we will understand his feeling and one-sided love...
The writing was also simple and loved the characters and the way it was narrated. I recommend it to all bookish buddies...
Awakening the Rainmaker A guide to gender equality has spoken more about how the gender equality starts from home. The women leaders who have been interviewed had some common grounds like parents who treated their kids equally. The career they chose where they are not judged by gender. This is still a thing to follow in many families and firms.
When you have a supporting family and supportive professional system you can reach where you want. Sky is the limit.
We women have to do extra hardwork and effort to prove we are no less.
One of interviews where the guy wanted his daughter to be in well reputed firm in a well settled job and he don't want to give job to women who attended interviews and saying they are only for reception later understood when the same question was raised by the official about his daughter. Everyone possesses varied capabilities. If there is shared responsibility, and respect to the individuals based on their abilities and not discriminate based on gender will pave way for better society.
I wish the current generation parents will have a non-gendered approach of parenting.
I have seen all ads related to #sharetheload #weareequal They all were so good and understanding. I wish everyone should read this book.
