A fairly high-elevation view of Christianity's evolution from an odd middle-Eastern cult to the world's predominant faith. Spends most of the time on middle-ages, and doesn't delve much into separate denominations within Christianity.
Holy Lovecraft, this is another excellent book by an author who will be remembered to future generations as Shakespeare is to ours.
Excellent introduction to sola fide
I'll resort to a cliche - he wrote the book on it. If you're looking for a primer on sola fide, this is it.
I originally rated this four stars because of how much I liked the first half... but ended up dropping it down to two. As time goes on I remember less and less about the dystopian beginning compared to the romance novel that the second half turned out to be.
