I really did not like this one. Was thinking of DNFing it but I was already at 30% so I powered through. I was really excited to read this with my post-Covid eyes but it did not delivered what I thought it would.
The dual timeline made it difficult for me to understand how she got herself in such a place, but I guess it was the author's plan. Just not my type.

Was the right lenght for it to not be excrutiating but was still very unrealistic and crude.
I did not love it as much as the first one.
I loved that we were seing new Monsters in a new city, but in Verity I was not grasping the motivation for the bad side behavior as clearly as in the first one.
I loved the kind of quest (and I am using the Term very freely) at the end.
I would have liked an epilogue more focused on the life after everything that happened in the book.
Why can't we give more than 5 stars. That's just not enough for this book!
I loved it with all my heart. It became problematic, I just could not stop reading, even at work grrr.
I usually am not one for the slow burn, but the plot was good enough to power through and I would not have it any other way!
I am pretty sure this book will haunt me for the rest of my life. It was so heartbreaking, but at the Same time very positive and beautiful.
I wanted to read this book for a very long time and I am so happy I did it.
I cried at the end for an unexpected reason, it made me think about my perception of things.
The best in the series so far, I love seeing how the writting gets better and better, the themes are more profound and the characters are really evolving throughout the books.
We sense that some shit will go down in the next Daisy Haites, can't wait!

I really enjoyed this. The setting was unusual for me, I appreciated the different perspectives.

This series and this book in particular are special they make me smile as much as they make me cry.
I can't wait to see what Else they get into. There was too much death for me and I did not care as much about who did it all. In the previous ones I was always guessing and never right of course but not in this one.
The story was so good, a lot more action packed in my opinion and did not follow a pattern like Powerless did. The twists were expected but still made complete sense with the story line. I finish with some question unanswered, can't wait for the next one.
It was also way more beautifuly written, I was reaching for my pen so much more frequently. I loved it!
If you read one accidental pregnancy book in your life, make it this one. It was so artfully done, it was real and gave me hope.
One of the best book of 2023 for me.
DNF after 40%
Did not care about the characters enough to want to continue.
Good audiobook narrator though
