Very fascinating book.. i love that it is narrated by death. Also I found it a surprisingly cheerful story in spite of everything :)
I thought this had a very fitting ending considering the characters tendencies.. I will leave that vague :) Good series I would certainly read more by this author in the future.
I wasn't on the edge of my seat the whole time or anything but I liked the story. Mostly about death and love, so prepare to have your heart strings tugged.
An adorable story told by a father, to his children; About his adventures to get their milk for breakfast. Sounds dull but trust me it is awesome. :)
After catching up on the tv series I didn't know what to do with myself so I thought I would check out the book.. after reading it I think the tv series turned out a bit better than the book (at least the first one so far) but it's mostly because the other characters don't have nearly as much depth as Dexter does. But over all I still thought it was a pretty great read and plan to read the next one soon.
Read this in one of my first freshmen classes.. :) loved this book. I recommend it to everyone. It's an interesting look at the way plants and humans interact with each other. Just go read it, because it's awesome!
I actually liked this book a bit better than the first one.. but it could still use some improvement on character depth with all the characters other than dexter himself.
Absolutely wonderful. It took me a while to get used to the language and spelling, especially when it came to names (which seems to be something i have trouble with normally let alone when it comes to strangely spelled names) but as soon as i was absorbed into the story and got the names straight it was the best book i've read in a while. i'm excited to read more.
It was similar to hunger games in some ways but it was different enough to keep me entertained. I really like the way they delve into the mind and the way we perceive fear.
Great read
I was very fond of this story. It was really well articulated and it managed to stay fairly light inspite of such a serious subject matter. Also had some great one liners and concepts about life and the universe. I would recommend it :)
There are a lot of pretty random spins on the story that they never could have done on tv with the budget they had.. making some of the story seem different from the show but the characters still have all their wit and charm. Overall I still absolutely love them. Joss is a god.
Listened to this book while at work mostly, It held my attention rather well. I certainly enjoyed the story and would recommend it :)
Great conclusion
This was a wonderful read, I love how all of the loose ends got tied up. This book legitimately goes full circle in so many ways, there are so many intertwining plot points. I couldn't put it down after the half way point to save myself. I would recommend this series to anyone who likes books that have to do with magic and/or mythology. It does not disappoint in theend.
Very interesting look at how the afterlife could work. I thought it was a very good read.

Good addition to the series. They are still keeping me interested and I can't wait to see where the next books take me.
A surprisingly good read. I was hesitant at first, I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but it grabbed my attention and kept it. I thought it was going to be much more of a horror than it turned out to be. I wouldn't recommend this for young children still.. as it does have a major creepy factor going on sometimes. But overall, in my opinion, it was more of a paranormal adventure.
